James Talarico, the Texas Democratic state representative and Presbyterian seminarian, has said he forgives Pete Hegseth's pastor for praying for his death.

On Tuesday, Texas's popular Democratic nominee for a US Senate seat pushed back against comments from Brooks Potteiger, the defense secretary's closest spiritual adviser, who said: "We want him crucified with Christ."

Talarico said on X: "Jesus loves. Christian Nationalism kills. You may pray for my death, Pastor, but I still love you. I love you more than you could ever hate me."

Jesus responded:

"Not everyone who says to me, Master, Master' will enter the kingdom of heaven; only people who do the will of my father in heaven. On that day lots of people will say to me, Master, Master"we prophesied in your name, didn't we? We cast out demons in your name! We performed lots of powerful deeds in your name!'

"Then I will have to say to them, I never knew you! You're a bunch of evildoers"go away from me!' "

Jesus instructed his followers to love their enemies, bless those who curse them, and pray for those who persecute or abuse them, marking a sharp contrast to conventional beliefs about hating enemies. Followers are commanded Christ to pray specifically for those who mistreat or persecute them.

Luke 6:27-28: But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

Pete Hegseth is an alcoholic misogynistic racist phony Christian whose own mother disowned him.

I would hope if American personnel are captured by the enemy, they are shown mercy and not butchered the way Secretary of War Crimes brayed.

He's a monster, pure and simple.
