If the goings on at Lyman are really happening the Russian line is starting to fail in that sector.

That moment when you can't make up your mind if you are for or against protectionism because Trump did something.

Weirdly on the topic of Musk, my friend lives in the neighborhood in Austin he built his compound to keep his rather large family. Tax the ---- out of the collateral and.. not all that much income in the grand scheme of Congress's spending problem. Few million bucks recovered, that's about it.

Then put the IRA holder in the same bucket. Loans aren't income.

any loan application using the gain as collateral should make the gain taxable in that year.

All they gained was debt, not income.

Instead of cutting the entire military, we can make up that $1.5 trillion by cutting, without our entitlements we're going to pretend are breaking even right now, we have to cut Veterans, DOT, FDA, everything to do with education, international affairs, and housing. That leaves us with 1% spending on Energy, Science, and Labor. Or all those depts can take 80% cuts funded mandates and 100% cuts to unfunded mandates.

and I'm just playing on a spreadsheet to get back to just no deficit. I'm not even trying to pay it off. That math doesn't math anymore. We're the USMC Private that bought a Charger at 24%. We spent $120k on an Art degree.

Elon's Tesla salary is $0. At SpaceX it's $54,000.

but yes that seems to be everything. Man, we really ------ ourselves.

That's why I went straight to dump the entire MIC, that's $1 trillion off the top.

Of course, if you've oh, I don't know, ever followed any thread about Trump and NATO, can quickly understand why that's not even remotely close to possible lol.

I already did that in the math. I went back to pre-Reagan taxes. I still ended up $1.5 trillion short, without controlling for the economic fallout and assuming falsely it would be 1:1 change over.

Then oh magically, we cut 100% of the military, no more army, marines, air force, space force, navy, only the Coasties.

Only $500 billion to go to get to beak even.

Which entitlements are we down to cut? That's where the money is.

If we went back to pre-Reagan taxation overnight, and assuming the economy didn't collapse because it's structured differently, we would only have a 1.5 Trillion deficit. Only $1.5 Trillion in savings to go, and we can then start to free up income to pay down the debt.

Outside is where the Dystopia is.

The real tragedy is how much you victimize yourself. Dystopia outside, while camped out on platforms designed to prey on your emotions to sell advertisements.

Go fishing.

They can commit about 4500 infantry to battle, the other 90% being support and logistics. That's 1 brigade. It takes 4 brigades to make a single division. The US Army fields 11 divisions.

Zed, you really need to spend time away from the Internet.

It's these kinds of desperate articles that make me doubt Dem victory this mid-term.

Eight data centers in Gary have power, while the residents do not.

One of the biggest --------- I've ever be unfortunate enough to drive through.

... but wow, data centers in Gary, where its right on the water, has massive steel industry, and not much in the way of forests, HAS POWER?! Inconceivable!

Yes, so they issued new tariffs under different rules.

Maybe we should have considered curbing executive power at any point in the nuclear age.

It's a magnet school for poor black kids.

You could not get further from MAGA.

The AI boom. Now thats a popular industry with the average Californian.

It is still subject to Iran's control.

It's getting weird. Ships were moving, then it went down to 7 ships on Thursday after the IRCG shot at something. The next day 40 formed into Convoy and exited the strait through the southern channel, presumably under US Navy escort. Nothing apparently shot at them.

Nothing of value was lost when the leftists left twitter in faux outrage.

The only thing Twitter had of value was the blue checkmark, and it was thrown in the garbage. Paid double it's real value, threw the only valuable product in the garbage.

Does this make sense to anyone?
Only if it's part of the continuing Trump pattern of behavior

and on that magical debt swap, where the US clears its debt with a levy, and instead of the debt being on its overall good credit, it shifts it onto consumers and banks with high credit loans to cover that levy because most people aren't liquid like that.

and now the US government can rack up all that debt again, because nobody fixed the problem of Congress being Congress.

Lots of fearmongering, but in the end, the wealthy paid their taxes.

No they didn't. The pied tax just became reality, and then was still held up in court a bit, and likely will again. Some good old NY street magic, raise, hopefully, $500 million a year eventually, but kick the budget can in a way that costs $2.2 billion a year.
