Uh, didn't they not vote on border $$$? They really like to backflip away from an issue and then claim an issue is a crisis. I do agree, the military industry always wins with both parties.

Johnson gets another rare bailout from Democrats on foreign aid
www.axios.com

... House Democrats on Friday took another rare step to prevent House Speaker Mike Johnson's (R-La.) foreign aid package from being blocked.

Why it matters: As Republicans struggle with a razor-thin majority and a rebellious right flank, such bipartisanship on typically party-line procedural votes is becoming more common.

What happened: 165 Democrats voted with 151 Republicans to pass what is known as a "rule," a procedural mechanism setting the terms of debate and votes on legislation.

- - - The bipartisanship was needed after 55 Republicans, mostly hardliners incensed about the $61 billion in Ukraine aid in the package, voted "no."

- - - The vote sets the stage for the bill to be passed early Saturday afternoon. ...

@#3 ... 165 Democrats voted with 151 Republicans ...

Looks like a bipartisan coalition House, with Democrats working with Republicans to prevent the Putin Wing of the House Republican Party from doing little more than fostering chaos.

Would be nice if this bipartisan coalition governing lasts, and the House can actually get some work done.

I should add that Luna, like all MAGATS, is a frequent liar and nothing she says can be trusted.

Republicans are gonna be really mad if Democrats don't save Republicans from themselves.

Again.

Some Democrats signal support for embattled House Republican Speaker Johnson
www.reuters.com

... Democrats in the House of Representatives on Sunday signaled a willingness to support House Speaker Mike Johnson, as Republican hardliners threaten to oust him following the passage of critical aid for Ukraine.

Democratic U.S. Representative Jared Moskowitz said in an interview with Fox News Sunday that ousting Johnson now would only embolden U.S. foes like Russia and Iran at a time of global turmoil.

Democratic Representative Ro Khanna said he would oppose Johnson being ousted as speaker, adding that "he deserves to keep his job till the end of his term."

Democratic support for Johnson could block the effort from some members of his party to oust him. ...
