A Senate candidate endorsed by President Donald Trump fled a rural Georgia press conference Thursday rather than answer questions about his son-in-law, white nationalist influencer David Alan Scheer II. Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA) abruptly ended the event after reporters peppered him with questions about a CNN report that found Scheer had built a large online following promoting white nationalist ideology, sharing Nazi imagery, and posting antisemitic conspiracy theories. Collins is the Republican Senate candidate challenging Democratic incumbent Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) in November.
For a year now, the AI safety testing firm Andon Labs has given frontier models various real-world tasks to determine how well they do as agents running for long periods with no human supervision. "More and more uninsured patients are showing up in hospital emergency rooms and clinics, having lost their coverage under the Affordable Care Act (AKA Obamacare). Executives running some of the biggest hospital systems, including large for-profit chains spanning many states, expressed concern over the unexpectedly sharp rise in uninsured patients and the costs associated with treating them. And many executives said that the hospitals were also reporting more unpaid medical bills and providing more in the way of charity care."
Money for war, none for patients. And Red States are getting hit the hardest. MAGA and MAHA!
"A U.S. government map of Africa mislabeled every country during a State Department presentation at a global conference in Brazil this week, causing a stir among attendees who took screenshots and posted them online.
Reuters viewed a video of the presentation given at the AIDS 2026 conference in Rio de Janeiro, which shows the errant map displayed halfway during a presentation about the State Department's new health agreements.
A Reuters analysis found the image of the map included in the presentation contained an artificial intelligence watermark that signals it was made with OpenAI tools. The company did not respond to a request for comment."
Like I wrote, just plain nuts.
The anti-Trump resistance has settled on its Anthony Fauci narrative. The Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing Wednesday was a witch hunt. Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who deeply influenced the restrictive guidelines during the Covid pandemic, had no choice. The good doctor had to invoke his Fifth Amendment right not to incriminate himself. It's a nice story, but the camera doesn't lie. More than an hour into the proceedings, Senator Bernie Moreno, a Republican from Ohio, exposed the stone wall strategy. He requested those in the audience to stand up if they had paid a professional, legal, or personal price for dissenting from Covid orthodoxies during the pandemic. The senator then asked Fauci to turn around and look at them. Fauci refused.
He tells his personal story.
