For example, the activist and TikTok news influencer Aaron Parnas shared a screenshot of Trump's alleged post with the caption, "Trump accused of stolen valor." The image shows the president wearing a military uniform with medals and honors that he has not earned. Claims that Trump posted the image of himself, Patton and MacArthur, and that doing so amounted to stolen valor " meaning when people falsely claim respect for military accomplishments they did not achieve " also circulated on X (archived), Facebook (archived), Threads (archived), Bluesky (archived) and Reddit (archived).

The second-term lawmaker faced a formidable primary challenge from Charlie Hatcher, a former state agriculture commissioner endorsed by outgoing Gov. Bill Lee (R). Joe Lombardo (R-NV) referenced fallen Las Vegas police officer Austin Abdelnabi at a political rally, the mob of Dummkopf Trumpf supporters blindly cascaded a chorus of loud boos at him, thinking he was talking about Democratic Senate Candidate for Michigan Dr. Abdul el-Sayed. "No, no -- we're not booing him," Lombardo admonished the throng. "He's the officer that passed away here recently." Audible gasps could be heard from the rabble. Lombardo then asked the unruly horde to participate in a moment of silence for Abdelnabi, whom he then referred to as "Officer Austin."

John Gannon says he deeply regrets his decision to vote for President Trump after his fiance, an immigrant from Venezuela, was arrested and detained by federal immigration agents last month. A lifelong Republican and Texas businessman, Gannon, 75, said his plans to marry 45-year-old Yasmin Suarez Reyes were derailed when she was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement at Houston's international airport in late July. "I voted for Trump," he told CBS News during an interview Wednesday, before criticizing ICE. "They are picking up law-abiding citizens. They're destroying families, jobs." Asked what he would tell Mr. Trump if given the chance to talk to him, Gannon said he would ask the president, "What are you doing?" "Go after the criminals. We're all for that. But leave the mom and pops and the kids alone. Man, he's destroying families," Gannon added.

An attorney for Ohio Rep. Max Miller said he accidentally included a sensitive photo of the lawmaker's 2-year-old daughter in a trove of information Miller shared on social media as he denied domestic abuse allegations from his former wife and vowed to seek reelection. "To be clear, this was completely my fault," the lawyer, Aaron Minc, said in a statement reported by Mediaite. Emily Moreno's attorneys cited the image of the girl in a letter to Minc this week, alleging the photo "could be considered Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)." The letter is part of a defamation lawsuit Miller launched against Moreno in May.
