Merit, Excellence and Intelligence (MEI) Catches On

From tech to tractors, companies are dialing back diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. Instead, a DEI alternative endorsed by Elon Musk could alter the fate of your next job application. It's known as MEI, short for merit, excellence and intelligence. As described by Scale AI Chief Executive Alexandr Wang, who helped popularize the term, MEI means hiring the best candidates for open roles without considering demographics.

"hiring the best candidates for open roles without considering demographics."

I'm sure it's just a coincidence all the "best candidates" are white men.

Trumpy only hires the best.

The best criminals.

Thats why so many of his hires are being prosecuted for crimes and/or needed to be pardoned for their crimes.

... MEI means hiring the best candidates for open roles without considering demographics. ...

If that is actually how it is implemented ...

As opposed just using a new buzzword to cover up what has been going on for decades (centuries?) white males hiring more white males.

Alexandr Wang does not fit the definition of a white male...hiring more white males.

This is hilarious. Us Chinese laugh at your white guilt. We hire each other. Indians do the same.

Your average White American is so ------.

The "M" in MEI obviously stands for mediocre, like Elmo and Dotard, who are where they are today because of rich daddies, and a criminal justice system weighted toward focusing on street crime and not the various frauds perpetrated on the American people by rich white guys.
