It's simple: the Trump Organization owes hundreds of millions to Russian banks, and Der Dotard wanted to be 'nice' to his banker, in hopes for better terms on those loans. Being friendly when others were not was 45's strategy to butter up the dangerous killer Putin. Sending a scrawled personal note to Putin, written on a page cut from the New York Post, is the sort of thing grasping real estate developers do to one another--not heads of state dealing with dangerous dictators...
