Trump Mixes Up Words, Swerves During Off Topic Speech

Republican nominee Donald Trump spoke for 33 minutes before his first mention of the ostensible focus of his remarks. He spoke of "a million Rambos." "Turnarounds" and "gotaways" and "dead-head spending." He mixed up Iran with North Korea and strained to pronounce United Arab Emirates. He marveled at Hurricane Helene coming so late in the storm season, which typically runs through November. He falsely claimed government agencies can't name the U.S. population, and he compared the conflict between Israel and Iran to "two kids fighting in the schoolyard."

Trump, 78, often speaks in a digressive, extemporaneous style that thrills his fans at large-scale rallies. But Tuesday's event, in front of almost entirely reporters, was especially scattered and hard to follow. Polls show voters' concerns about Trump's age and fitness have increased since President Joe Biden, 81, withdrew and was replaced as the Democratic nominee by Vice President Kamala Harris.

Trump spoke slowly and appeared tired. It was his second stop of the day, and he has picked up the pace of campaigning in recent weeks.

"I think I'm booked every single day for 33 days," he said at the end of the news conference, incorrectly citing the number of days until the election, which is 35 days. "I've worked for 17 or 18 days when you say in a row, and I'm working even when I'm not working."

Much of what Trump said here he has said before. He repeated false claims about a U.S. government app directing cartels where to drop off smuggled migrants; in fact the app lets migrants request appointments for legal processing. He falsely accused the Biden administration of admitting 13,000 convicted murderers - a number that in fact reflects several decades of migration and includes people in federal or state custody.

He also repeatedly praised predominantly White countries such as Denmark, Norway and Sweden while emphatically warning against immigrants from Congo in Africa. And he again said migrants crossing the U.S. southern border were taking "Black and Hispanic jobs," a characterization that many Americans found offensive and economists said was false.

Poor Donald, having to actually work in order to win the presidency. Everyone should do Donald a big favor: Don't elect him so that he can go home and prepare for his many trials and likely incarceration.

Then, perhaps, he won't be so tired and can simply lay around on his ample dupiyash.

I'm old enough to remember when a presidents age and mental acuity were covered by the news.

He's not looking well at all. He might not make it to the election and that is not even considering the possibility that another of his supporters might decide to take up arms against him.

He chokes under pressure then the lies come pouring out to fool himself that he isn't the loser everyone else can plainly see.

"I'm old enough to remember when a presidents age and mental acuity were covered by the news."

That was back in the days before the lunatic fringe started attacking the evil "Liberal Media (like walter Cronkite).

I am ashamed to admit, I pray a few times a week for his massive stroke or MI. There is an old Russian proverb "God sees the truth, but waits."

A whole lotta waitin' goin' on.

I think it's possible, however unlikely, that there's a reason why Trump gets away with the things he says and does:

He's under a lot of pressure, and is experiencing advancing dementia.

The Jack Smith revelations today are going to force him, and all the DR fascists and "Independents who don't like FDT, but can't bring themselves to vote for a Democrat because [nonsensical reason based on lies]," to further defend the coup attempt on J6 and all the other bulls--t lies that FDT has told for the last 50 years. He has been given all the delays he's going to get, and the loyal fascist cultist religious fanatics are surely loyal to him, but the house of cards is falling around him.

The MSM is doing all they can, even the NYT won't be able to save him. I look forward to not having to talk about that clown anymore, like Sarah Palin before him. It will be interesting to watch them sifting through through the rubble of their immoral unreality that once was the Repubican Party. I just hope we take over all branches of government in November, because the USA will not survive the clown show if we don't, even if we win the presidency.

OK, I was totally unaware of FDT. So I popped the acronym into my search engine of choice.

Wow.

FDT (song)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FDT_(song)

... "FDT" (also known by its uncensored full title "F!!k Donald Trump") is a protest song by YG featuring Nipsey Hussle, and is the second single from YG's second studio album Still Brazy. The song is a criticism of the policies of the Republican candidate in the 2016 US presidential election, Donald Trump, who would eventually win the 2016 presidential election. ...

I don't think you'll ever find a case where I promoted his brand in print on this site (or anywhere, for that matter), although I will use his name in conversation.

See also:

FDT has been around for a long time, it's easier to type. I'm embarrassed for our country, that this clown has managed to fail upwards this far, honestly. I mean, the man makes Dick Cheney likable in comparison, and that's simply unforgivable.

While Trump moans and bellyaches that has to work non-stop, every day until the election . . . he's not alone.

Jack Smith is doing the same thing.

Terrible health profile, obviously senile, incurious and ignorant, scheming but unintelligent, a complete disaster as a human being.

And that's before 11 o'clock in the AM, when a smirking hireling rouses him from a fitful slumber, assists him in securing his wardrobe into place, opens the bedroom door, and stands aside as JD Vance's meal ticket, finally made up like a Tijuana hooker, waddles, squinting, sweating into the Florida sunlight, knowing that following the words on a teleprompter is an exercise in futility as hopeless in its end result as attempting to locate his own navel, which disappeared many, many moons ago. Sad.

Trump's mentally unfit. We're supposed to let him have the nuclear launch codes?! Other highlights:

- Went on a long aside about the movie Full Metal Jacket

- Falsely claimed that Harris raised taxes while serving as the San Francisco district attorney, which is not something the San Francisco district attorney has the power to do

- Spoke about immigrants from the Congo in Africa: "They come from, from the Congo in Africa. Many people from the Congo. I don't know what that is."

- Also on Tuesday, the former president claimed that supporters of the Green New Deal want to tear down every building in Manhattan and replace them with ones without windows, adding that they also want bathrooms without water.

Trump elaborated on his proposal to eliminate the Department of Education by describing what he envisioned the agency would look like: "I think you will have like one person plus a secretary. You'll have a secretary. The secretary will have one person plus a secretary. And all the person has to do is: Are you teaching English? Are you teaching arithmetic? What are you doing? Reading, writing, and arithmetic. And are you not teaching woke? Not teaching woke is a very big factor. But we'll have a very small staff."
