The One Question That Mattered in the VP Debate

Will Saletan: JD Vance failed to reject Trump's lies about the 2020 election. He can't be trusted to protect democracy.

No MAGAT believes in the Constitution and the rule of law.

They're mindless cult followers that want to install a dictator.

Move your sorry asses to Russia.

Vance failed the test.
Are there any Republicans who could pass?
Just curious, asking for some friends.

"Would you have certified the election results had you been vice president?

Vance: If I had been vice president, I would have told the states, like Pennsylvania, Georgia, and so many others, that we needed to have multiple slates of electors. And I think the U.S. Congress should have fought over it from there."

In other worfs J.D. Vance will, if given the chance, try to steal the upco, img rlection just like Trump will/did.

And when he said that Donald Trump had allowed the peaceful transition of power to happen I burst out laughing!

... Vance refused to answer when asked directly if Trump lost the 2020 election ...

He said he wanted to look forward, not backward.

A deflective non-answer. Especially because many other times during the ddebate he did look backwards.

Sen Vance was very smooth-sounding during the debate, especially when delivering deflective non-answers.

" He said he wanted to look forward, not backward."

What a riot.

Literally, the next sentence out of his mouth was about 2020.

When Vance did actually answer a question, he managed to affirm the Biden/Harris climate and economic policies. He stated that, because the US is currently the cleanest economy in the world with regard to carbon emissions, that we should bring manufacturing back home and increase energy production.
That is exactly what has been occurring under the Biden/Harris administration. Under Biden/Harris, according to the Sloan Management Review, companies have been building manufacturing facilities in the US at a "pace not seen in decades" thanks in large part to the 2021 Infrastructure Act, the 2022 CHIPS Act and the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act. The sector has seen significant job growth after 200K manufacturing jobs were lost under Trump and the VP he tried to have killed. Under Biden/Harris the US has added 775,000 new jobs in the sector and expects to add more than 300K new manufacturing jobs per year over the decade thanks to the inflation reduction act.
Under Biden/Harris, US energy production, including petroleum and natural gas production, is at an all time high under Biden/Harris.

"" He said he wanted to look forward, not backward."

In other words: MAGA is just b.s. to please Trump's favorite folks; i.e. "the poorly educated."

I watched multiple focus groups of "undecided" voters that say their minds were made up to support Harris when Jethro Dull refused to say Donnie Fail lost 2020.

I cannot fathom how ANYONE would support that orange turd after what happened a) on 1/6 and b) the stolen classified documents. Either one of those two events alone should be disqualifying.

You might want to educate yourself. Hillary still says that 2016 was stolen. She still says it even after she paid to have the faulty evidence produced that put us through a 3 year investigation to remove a sitting president. So spare us your faux outrage.

Hillary still says trump cheated with putin to win. Which is a fact.

But she didn't attempt a coup. Trump is the only one to ever do that, based on a giant lie.

Spare us your constant lies.

Clinton won the popular vote and so had plenty of reason to complain.

And Clinton immediately conceded her loss and she did not take steps to reverse it.

Donald Trump, on the other hand, lost the popular vote and the electoral votes and then refused to concede to Joe Biden in 2020 and launched legal battles across the country founded on baseless conspiracy theories to try to overturn the results. And then tried to throw the country into chaos on Jan 6th by inciting a mob to attack our nations capitol and attempted to overthrow the election.
