Where did a billion dollars go?

Like so many I am heartbroken at the result. Like so many I gave more money to this campaign than I have ever given in my lifetime to a presidential campaign. And like so many, I have questions. Questions that we deserve to have answered. And, given the scale of our losses on Tuesday night, it is now incumbent upon those who were inside of the campaign to provide them.

It's really not that difficult to understand... most candidates for Pres run for at least a year or two, full time, to establish themselves as credible candidates.

Harris had a couple of months, and it's not like she was a household name, which is incredibly important on it's own, when she was picked for VP.

Michelle! would have done much better with those swing voters, not that she was an option, but she was a known quantity. Although still a woman in a man's world for lots of voters.

SO the already low info swing voters, and a few Republicans, chose the devil they knew rather than the devil they didn't.

And when I say 'devil', I'm being literal.

DNC official calls Harris campaign a $1 billion disaster'

--Democratic National Committee (DNC) official Lindy Li called Vice President Harris's bid for the White House a "$1 billion disaster" following her loss to President-elect Trump in the 2024 presidential election.

It paid for polls that were wrong outside of the margin of error and a lot of anti-Ted Cruz ads that didn't work.

Could have done Rogan for the cost of travel and gotten 20 million views of a 3 hour unedited chat.

Ted Cruz fled Texas when it froze over, blamed his ugly wife for it, and still won the election.

That Canadian isn't going anywhere.

#11 | Posted by ClownShack at 2024-11-11 06:15 PM

And all of the Ted Cruz ads were hammering immigration and trans in sports.

The irony. The second third and fourth generation Mexicans that run my daughter's softball league are all conservative and would never allow a trans anything in the girls League. There's only two genders in softball.

when asked by a reporter oprah said she was not paid anything for the interview.

FEC reports that HARPO Productions was paid one million by the Harris campaign.

--do I need to explain who owns Harpo productions ?

I'm coming to grips with the apparent fact that Trump isn't just for MAGAts anymore.

Those low info voters and few Republicans kicked the Democrats' ass. America is in a world of hurt, but just about as always, the Dems' loss is purely on themselves.

I also think Trump won't last long physically. And I don't think Vance can reach his level of amorality. I hope not anyway.

Too bad winning the election doesn't mean you are not still a rapidly mentally declining, morbidly obese old man.

so which group of your so called 'low lnfo voters ?"

the large # of hispanics / blacks / young people and men and all of the other categories that DT kicked dems ass with ?

the wasting of a billion in addition to 20 million owed to staff and others.....

--wasted by people you were sure were fiscal "experts".

--off to another day of winning...

so which group of your so called 'low lnfo voters ?"

I was just quoting the earlier material.

My next-door neighbor is an educated black lesbian who voted for Trump. All bets are off. And she has kids in their 20s, one of them a daughter.

We're finding out that "one person, one vote" means just what it says, like it or lump it.

I hate Trump, but I'd be useless to everybody if I stayed in a crazyass state of rage. I got work to do and family members to care for.

And the folks who want to rage and rage and rage here? If they're not channeling that into something more productive, they're defecating where they sleep.

#23 | Posted by Dbt2 at 2024-11-12 09:08 AM

It's kind of weird calling people who were able to get the message out within the ranks of the Trump campaign, working with half the money the DNC machine had to play with.

Everyone is focused on celebrity payouts.

While a stupid use of money, it accounts for what, $10-12 million in total? That's only 1-1.2% of $1 billion.

I saw numbers floating around showing her campaign paid 5 or 6 "consulting firms" about $500 million.

For what? Who owns them?
