NBA Cup Looking Up in Year Two

Ahead of the finals tonight, the NBA Cup is doing pretty well with players and coaches in its second year. The league hopes it will grown to become "a true second championship," said NBA strategist and analytics exec Evan Wasch.

Major Problem...

Half the league's fans can't watch their teams play without buying packages outside of basic cable

NBA viewership down 48% in 12 years.

Strange thing is NBA is playing like the WNBA these days, just sloppy.

Who would've guessed that watered-down, unwatchable, no-stakes basketball would be less appealing to people who have to search the Internet to figure out how to catch a game every once in a while?

IAMRUNT is softer that Yao Ming, the puss who retired because of bone spurs.

The question of this is what is the source of the data. Most of this type of data comes from broadcast and traditional cable sources. With more and more people switching to streaming services if this is the source of data it is irrelevant.
The league is making more money than ever and so are players. There is not a big problem.
However, the in season tournament is just plain stupid and will never be 'a second championship'.
The only reason the players support itis that there is the potential for more money.
The game last night was played to what looked like a half empty arena in Las Vegas.
