Biden Commutes Most Federal Death Row Sentences

President Joe Biden announced Monday that he is taking 37 people off federal death row to serve out life sentences behind bars -- a decision that leaves only three federal prisoners awaiting execution when President-elect Donald Trump takes office next month.

President Biden has commuted the death sentences of 37 out of the 40 men on death row.
These men will now serve life in prison without the possibility of parole.
The only men who weren't spared are Dylann Roof, Robert Bowers, and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

When the Germans were writing their nrw post-WWII constitution they prohibited the government from executing anyone for any crime. Our country should do the same thing. If the government has the right to execute then it is a slippery slope when any crime can be punished by execution. Probably criticizibg Trump will soon be at the top of the list!
