Students and local activists gathered on Wednesday evening at Powder House Park to protest the detainment of Tufts graduate student, Rumeysa Ozturk, by federal authorities on Tuesday.
PhD student detained by ICE wearing plain clothes and face masks Her name is Rumeysa Ozturk, she's a student from Turkey, attending Tufts as a grad student on a legal visa (sponsored by the university). Her attorney said, "We are unaware of her whereabouts and have not been able to contact her. No charges have been filed against [her] that we are aware of." https://www.reddit.com/r/PrepperIntel/comments/1jkkf8w/phd_student_detained_by_ice_wearing_plain_clothes/
The ICE agents used a standard FLETC arrest technique on the poor girl. One draws the attention of the target with a "Psst" or "Pardon me" while the partner positions himself behind the person. Rumeysa Ozturk is being detained in the South Louisiana ICE Processing Center, 3843 Stagg Avenue, Basile, LA 70515. Visitor Information: (318) 668-5900.

I posted this story to make clear that the United States is holding political prisoners now:
In a statement to ABC News, a Department of Homeland Security spokesperson said: "Rumeysa Ozturk is a Turkish national and Tufts University graduate student, granted the privilege to be in this country on a visa. DHS and ICE investigations found Ozturk engaged in activities in support of Hamas, a foreign terrorist organization that relishes the killing of Americans. A visa is a privilege not a right. Glorifying and supporting terrorists who kill Americans is grounds for visa issuance to be terminated. This is commonsense security."
