CBS: Epstein Video Footage Reveals More Discrepancies

A CBS News analysis of the video the FBI made public earlier this month reveals that the recording doesn't provide a clear view of the entrance to Epstein's cell block -- one of several contradictions between officials' descriptions of the video and the video itself.

The FBI claimed "anyone entering or attempting to enter the tier where Epstein's cell was located from the SHU common area would have been captured by this footage."

The video, cross-referenced with diagrams of the Epstein holding area, does not appear to support that finding. That becomes obvious in the first 10 minutes of the video. Epstein's cell was in the L Block, accessible via a staircase from the Special Housing Unit's common area. When Epstein appears on camera, he is seen walking toward the stairs leading to his cell, but since the staircase is almost entirely out of view from the camera, he is never seen ascending.

The entrance to Epstein's cell, as well as the primary entrance to the SHU, are off camera in the same direction, meaning there's no way to tell from the video if he went to his cell or exited the SHU.

Another tidbit:

At 12:05:48 a.m., an unidentified individual passes through the SHU.

The inspector general's report says only two staff members entered the unit after midnight: one is a corrections officer, identified only as "CO3," and the other is described as the Morning Watch Operations Lieutenant. The presence of a third unidentified individual seen on the video is not addressed by the inspector general's report.

When Obama was president, this place declared the republicans were still in charge.

Same goes with Biden.

The republicans are always running the federal government.

gerrymandering, unified party line, citizens united, etc....all reasons why the GOP is never not in charge.

In this case it means who ran the prison Epstein was murdered in.

This was Donald Trump through AG Barr.

Barr excused Epstein's death by saying the circumstances were essentially miraculous.

I conclude, therefore, that unexpurgated Epstein files will never see the light of day for as long as Donald Trump can arrange it.

This FBI and DOJ have lied from the word "go" regarding every single aspect of evidence and expectations of evidence.

No confidence, I expect that we will witness the implosion of these agencies.

Release the bank transactions and Epstein emails and cut to the chase.

Had the direction the camera is pointing been changed at some time before Mr Epstein died?

It seems odd that a security camera's field of view would not fully cover the stairway's common area entry point.

The "orange blob" seen in surveillance video, headed up to the 2nd level where Epstein was, could very well have been an inmate on his way to take Epstein out while guards looked the other way.

Independent forensic experts had never seen a case, out of thousands of jail suicides, with the specific combination of injuries on Epstein's neck, internally and externally. They've said it would not have been possible for him to self-inflict that combination of wounds using a bedsheet in that cell.
