Trump Plans Harder Test for US Citizenship

The Trump administration is planning to make the test to become a U.S. citizen more difficult, possibly with an essay requirement that would help give officials wide discretion on which immigrants are approved.

The Trump administration plans to make the citizenship test harder. The changes are part of the efforts to combat what the administration alleges is widespread fraud in the immigration system.

I can help write the test...

1. Are you white?

2. If 1 is yes, congratulations, you are a US citizen.

The end.

So. By "planning harder test" you mean Trumpy looked real hard at the idea and said mean hateful things then told the covfeffe boy to handle it and then he ate 20 "hamberders".

This is like when during the Jim Crow era, across the south they made African-Americans pass a written test before they were allowed to register to vote, and then on election day, they collected a 'poll tax'. Note that these were applied on per person basis, meaning that the local authorities could exempt anyone they wished.

It will be interesting to see if the test will be geared to White South Africans...

I'm willing to bet that Trump could not pass the current one, much less a harder one.

You've already failed. Best take the $1000 and self deport while you can.

Real Americans know it's spelled "hamberder" now.

The pass rate is pretty high right now.

For any other purpose....professional licensing, etc......if the pass rate were that high, they would absolutely make the test harder.

When you fail a licensing exam, you're not deported. The stakes are higher. I've helped people study for this test. Most Republicans I know would fail it because they didn't bother to study and arrogantly assumed they'd crush it.

You'll dream up a defense for anything Trump does, simply because you're a Republican.

The reason immigrants pass the test is they the well educated and financially successful enough to afford to come to America.

If you want to see people fail the citizenship test, give it to birthright citizenship Americans.

And why not strip those who fail of their citizenship while you're at it. In a year you'll be defending that too.
