President Donald Trump attracted a wave of criticism after he pivoted to talking about his 2024 election victory when asked about a National Guard member who recently succumbed to her gunshot wounds. During a Thursday press conference at Mar-a-Lago, one reporter asked the president if he would attend Beckstrom's funeral. At that point, Trump then boasted that he won Beckstrom's home state by a significant margin in the 2024 election. "I haven't thought about it yet, but it certainly is something I could conceive of. I love West Virginia, and I won West Virginia by one of the biggest margins of any president anywhere," Trump said.

Is pedo 47 going to incite another brawl at Sarah Beckstrom's grave site?

Has Pres Trump not a clue about empathy?

Of course not. He's a sociopath. Among other things.

Writer Michael Freeman called the president a "degenerate sociopath."

F-in' Duh! He then went on to say, "and water is wet."

"degenerate sociopath."

Accurate description.

Caligula would not even be a footnote in history had Rome not armed him with ultimate power.

The Romans were only able to tolerate him for three years.

#2 Empathy

Hannah Arendt wrote about the "banality of evil", that it's not the presence of something but the absence of something that makes evil men.

#2 Empathy

"The definition of evil is the total lack of empathy." - Gustave Mark Gilbert, US Army officer, author and professor of Psychology (1911 - 1977)

In 1945, after the end of the war, Gilbert was sent to Nuremberg, Germany, as a translator for the International Military Tribunal for the trials of the World War II German prisoners. Gilbert was appointed the Prison Psychologist of the German prisoners. During the process of the trials Gilbert became, after Dr Douglas Kelley, the confidant of Hermann Gring, Joachim von Ribbentrop, Wilhelm Keitel, Hans Frank, Oswald Pohl, Otto Ohlendorf, Rudolf Hss, and Ernst Kaltenbrunner, among others. At first he did not tell them he was Jewish; after he told them, most of the prisoners did not mind talking to him. Gilbert also participated in the Nuremberg Trials as the American Military Chief Psychologist and provided testimony attesting the sanity of Rudolf Hess.

Psychologically, empathy is basically the opposite of narcissism.

DJT is a classic example of what's know as a Dark Triad Personality.

And that never ends well for anyone they have power over.

Check out the Milgram Experiment after WW2 that studied why Nazi Prison Guards would commit horrendous acts against prisoners that a normal person would not ordinarily do.

In that case, they passed responsibility for their lack of empathy onto their superior officers who ordered them to torture people.

They basically became what Trump is; an extreme narcissist with other psychopathies.

Corky at #11 refers to the "Dark Triad Personality." It's a doozy.

All three dark triad traits are conceptually distinct although empirical evidence shows them to be overlapping. They are associated with a callous"manipulative interpersonal style.

Narcissism is characterized by grandiosity, pride, egotism, and a lack of empathy.
Machiavellianism is characterized by manipulativeness, indifference to morality, lack of empathy, and a calculated focus on self-interest.
Psychopathy is characterized by continuous antisocial behavior, impulsivity, selfishness, callous and unemotional traits (CU), and remorselessness.
