... US Vice President JD Vance says his delegation will come home to the United States without an agreement. Vance was speaking to reporters on Sunday after talks with Iranian officials at a hotel in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.
Vance said: "We've had a number of substantive discussions with the Iranians. That's the good news. The bad news is that we have not reached an agreement, and I think that's bad news for Iran much more than it's bad news for the United States of America."
Before Vance spoke to reporters, the Iranian government posted on social media that negotiations will continue despite remaining differences between Tehran and Washington. Tehran, in effect, is expecting continued discussions on Sunday as proposed by Pakistan, the mediator of the talks. ...
