"While the meeting itself is historic " the most high-level engagement between U.S. and Iranian officials since 1979 " the chances for success appear low. Both sides know the risk of failure is renewed war, but have clashing visions for peace.
"We still don't agree on what we are negotiating about," another U.S. official said. The countries have spent the lead-up to the talks accusing each other of ceasefire violations. The Iranians threatened not to show up at all, though state media later reported they'd touched down in Islamabad.
While Vance was in the air, Trump made a thinly veiled threat to kill Iran's leaders if they don't play ball."

Trump made a thinly veiled threat to kill Iran's leaders if they don't play ball.
A tactic that has proven super effective thus far.

At least he's actually part of the administragion, unlike the other two s*^%bags who have been "negotiating" so far.
How much you want bet we get back to the conditions of the Obama nuke deal and these idiots act like they've don't something substantive and historic instead of breaking something and replacing it because they're arrogant morons.

JayVee is not a negotiator. He's a Yale DEI grad pontificator sent on a fool's errand by his boss, who just got his ample arse handed to him by ... himself.

Poor Couchlover Vance has to be in the presence of the very brown Muslim people he despises.
Imagine being a Master Race White Republican, then having to beg the smelly Pakistanis for help.
This is what I voted for. --Boaz

It looks as if Pres Trump realized that he lost the achievement of his goals (whatever they were) when he started this war and now, since the war was starting to drag on, he is looking for a way to pin the blame for a potential loss on someone else.
Enter stage right ... VP Vance ...
