Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Tuesday, February 06, 2024

To qualify as a first-rate American political scandal, the escapade should include three juicy elements: sex, money, and the abuse of power. Fani Willis and Nathan Wade hit the trifecta. Willis is the District Attorney for Fulton County (Atlanta), Georgia. Her position and use of it against Donald Trump is the power dimension of the story. Willis brought a major criminal case against Trump and multiple associates for attempting to meddle with the state's vote count in 2020 and the determination of its electors. That case put Willis in the national spotlight, where she is wilting.

Is this the good or bad journalism?

It's hard to keep up with all the "journalism" capriciousness

Correct. I feel that Willis is becoming toxic and it's mostly her fault. I never bought into Trump's immunity claims. Having said that to prosecute a president, former president or chief rival for president the burden of proof on the prosecution should be very high.

I have noticed local scandals across the country.

Building inspector, mayors etc etc.

Corruption is at high levels.

Fani isn't a one off, the toxicity of corruption rages across the US.

It should be the same as any other case.

And her stupidity with this little tryst doesn't in anyway decrease that or change what Trump did or the validity of the evidence against him.

This is just normal, bottom of the barrel soap opera garbage that follows the Republicans around everywhere they go.

BTW drop the stupid "chief rival" crap. It's not a political prosecution no matter how much your "Trump hater" ass wants it to be.

Interesting...

Willis wrecked a marriage
Lied about when the relationship began
Hired the unqualified paramour as a lead prosector
Paid him exorbitant rates
Vacations on the taxpayer dime
Booty calls at a taxpayer-funded hideaway.

Then went to a church to say she's a victim of racism.

As Comey outlined, it's not just the evidence, it's also the intent.

He's very clear the evidence in the Clinton case is prosecutable if she had intent.

Political prosecutions don't feature the Pres calling a Gov of his own party and demanding he FIND a certain number of votes or face the consequences.

There's nothing political about that.

Trump deserves every ounce of it. Politics is irrelevant given the enormity of evidence and publicly available information.

You're just angry that Trump is getting his comeuppance and need an excuse to latch on to to avoid realizing the true nature of your boy and how badly you were fooled.

JPW is nothing more than a partisan stooge.

You wanna argue that the facts of the case haven't changed? Fine. No argument from me with that.

Doesn't change the fact that this woman is compromising the case for all of the reasons stated in the linked article.

But, you will NEVER admit to any of that because you are a Dem and far-left foot-soldier - a partisan hack.

Two things.

The only way this helps your boy Trump is if there's an obvious conflict of interest involved. Her throwing her boy some meat isn't a conflict of interest that calls into question handling of the case.

Also, I don't have the power to "find a better and uncompromised prosecutor." You're so desperate to defend your boy you're making nonsensical demands.

Dude. You superimpose this:

"The only way this helps your boy Trump is if there's an obvious conflict of interest involved. Her throwing her boy some meat isn't a conflict of interest that calls into question handling of the case."

With this:

"lso, I don't have the power to "find a better and uncompromised prosecutor." You're so desperate to defend your boy you're making nonsensical demands."

You actually said this: "Her throwing her boy some meat isn't a conflict of interest"
