I expect a Trump lawyer to charge the judge's bench at one point and attack him.

"A date for Donald Trump's first criminal trial has been set in the former president's New York
criminal hush money case.

With Trump in attendance at the hearing in downtown Manhattan, New York state Judge Juan Merchan confirmed that the former president's trial will begin on March 25, as originally scheduled, on charges that Trump falsified business recordswith the intent to conceal illegal conduct connected to his 2016 presidential campaign."

With Trump in attendance at the hearing in downtown Manhattan,

The whiny little bitch was whining about being there and not being able to campaign. He didn't need to be there for this. He chose to be there to turn it into a circus.

I've said it before, he's not being prosecuted because he is running for president. He is running for president because he is being held accountable for his many crimes.

"arguing that Trump's attorneys have been focused on Trump's other potential trials and warning they could overlap. "

So the defense is "he can't stand trial because his criminality is so widespread he might have to stand trial somewhere else". LOL! I guess that's better than if you grant our immunity claim then the President can murder anyone he wants and if the courts or congress try to stand in his way then he can murder them too.

Yep. He's known he was prison bound since the Feds executed the warrant on maralago. He knew his only hope was that he got a friendly judge who would delay, which he did with the corrupt judge Cannon, and then get elected and drop the case or attempt a self-pardon. I won't be surprised if he tries to make the argument that he pardoned himself already if he ends up convicted in the DC insurrection trial.

He could try to make that argument but I can't see how he could have pardoned himself for future crimes of obstruction, perjury, conspiracy and destruction of evidence. Even the act of theft of classified documents would have been after he was no longer president and therefore did not have the power to grant a pardon to himself.

Exactly. He only ran in hopes of avoiding prison.

And of course this really isn't about paying hush money right before the election, it's about falsifying business records to cover it up.

Which I heard somewhere is what always gets ya, the coverup.
