With Americans living longer and spending more years in retirement, the nation's changing demographics are "putting the U.S. retirement system under immense strain," according to BlackRock CEO Larry Fink in his annual shareholder letter. One way to fix it, he suggests, is for Americans to work longer before they head into retirement.

He's a rich ------- that doesn't get the realities regular people live with.

Getting any job if you're over 60 is almost impossible unless you know someone or have special skills in demand.

Try getting an unskilled job at 60 without a boost from someone inside the company?

They should be Lowering the retirement age, not raising it.

People are dying younger not older. The life expectancy has dropped for many demographics.

Working any kind of physical job is increasingly more challenging as one ages.

They just want to make the Serfs work until the Die so they get to keep all the SS contributions that were made by them.

All to enrich -------s like this dude.

God forbids the answer be raising income caps or something.

I'm sure he'd really miss that couple of percent from what little income he derives from wages.

" They should be Lowering the retirement age, not raising it."

RIGHT!!!

Because when you don't understand math, your answer is to make a bad problem MUCH WORSE.

Math or Greed?

The only people who get their panties in a twist about retirement age are the same dumb ----- who cry endlessly about illegal immigrants.

They will do the work while oldsters live in retirement.

Wages drive to whole system now.

The morbidly rich live on dividends and capital gains, they don't pay jack in taxes like they ought to.

Why is the whole system designed to keep the Rich, rich, and everyone else hungry and insecure?

They next to pay More. Much More.

The military needs a major reduction in funding..50-60% cuts immediately.

Living people need that money more than silos... need new nuclear weapons.

Or military contractors need contracts.

Or Israel needs funding for Murders

Exactly this.
Imagine getting a tax break because you made it to the top 20% of household incomes.

The guy has probably never worked a physically demanding job in his life. Skilled trades are great when you are young but get tougher and tougher as you get older.

If people got the pay and benefits of CEOs and board members they'd probably agree with needing a few more hours. However they don't and they are tired of putting in hours with little pay and benefits and even less appreciation for the work they do.

Fink is not supporting the system thanks to the tax cuts of 3 repub presidents. Are you enjoying watching the former middle class support our countries operating expenses Mr. Fink?

When people get 'up in arms' and want to start waving their guns,
they need to be pointing their guns at people like this guy.

The morbidly rich are leeches on the rest of society.

The band Aerosmith had a great song about this about a decade back,
'Eat the Rich'.

And if *@^!ing idiots like this won't shut the hell up, it
will almost be time to 'pass the ketchup'...

Wall Street has evolved into a welfare system where people don't have to work for the money they spend.

He is in a business where the majority work from desks. Fact is, many Americans are laboring in employment that over time is wearing to their bodies and by their mid 60s are quite often unable to continue in that line of work. Guess Fink will just tell them to learn to code, like biden did...

"He is in a business where the majority work from desks."

Working at a desk all day is actually very unhealthy. But I can see who wants us to.

"Excessive sitting has been linked to obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and even certain types of cancer. In addition, blood pressure rises when you're seated for long periods, and the lack of physical activity can lead to an accumulation of fat and cholesterol."

Who wants to die still sitting at a desk in a cubicle?

One of my bosses literally died at work at his desk and fell over into his trash can.

No thanks ... not me!

Joe Biden completely dislocated the USA economy and system where no one feels good or works with efficiency and concientiousness. Pre Joe Biden our country was efficient. We worked hard. Post Joe Biden our country has lost its mojo. Most people see it and is why they oppose Biden. Not one of our top leaders really ponders how to make us better. The only thing the elites fret about are polls and their politics.

How is trump going to solve your problems?

Trump thinks like a businessman. It requires experience. Biden has been a political hack and good at doing nothing. Politicians have no clue how to be effective in the real world. Do you think any politician has a clue how to accomplish anything effectively, and how to work hard to actually make things better.

#21. Trump will stay out of our lives. We dont need politicians interfering. Biden will intrude on all of us with incompetence. If we never had another law or intrusion by govt we would be better off. Just enforce laws already on our books

Trump failed at everything he's ever done. He's a failed businessman and a fraud. He cheats on his taxes, his loan applications, his high school tests, his college applications, his wives, his elections, his draft deferments, and his golf game.

Now, how is that lifelong cheater going to help fix all the problems that you blame on biden?

I read an article on that the other day. Among other things, he has a super fast golf cart so get can get out and move the balls around before anyone else gets there.
