GOP Congressman Says Colleagues 'Were Warned' About Ex-FBI Informant
www.newsweek.com

... Republican Congressman Ken Buck said that House members "were warned" that allegations leveled by an ex-FBI informant regarding President Joe Biden's business dealings may not be credible. ...

Speaking to CNN's Kaitlan Collins Wednesday evening, Buck pushed back on impeachment efforts by his Republican colleagues in light of the charges against Smirnov, claiming that lawmakers "were warned at the time that we received the document outlining this witness' testimony ... that the credibility of this statement was not known."

"And yet people, my colleagues, went out and talked to the public about how this was credible and how it was damning and how it proved President Biden's complicity in receiving bribes," Buck said.

It appears to absolutely be false and to really undercut the nature of the charges." ...

Sounds like Tim Scott just got some competition in the race for Hair Furor's running mate.

I posted about his outing as a FSB plant last week. His information was direct fed to him by Russian intelligence to pass on and basically stir the pot.

Der Dotard has already said he would trust Putin over the word of US intelligence. The GOP toadies and boot lickers in the House are simply following the lead of their leader. The spin that will be applied to Hunter Biden's testimony this week will make a cricket bowler proud...

And they simply don't care. Zero shame. It's anarchism to the nth degree.

Months of lying is good enough when you the truth lasts a day. This is all the R's want, to win a news cycle.

This impeachment thing was never going to go anywhere anyway.

Jordan and Comey were hoping they could at least create an illusion that would cost President Biden some votes.

It's the Joseph Goebbles theory. If they say "Biden Crime Family" often enough a certain percentage of people are going to believe it.

"And yet people, my colleagues, went out and talked to the public about how this was credible and how it was damning and how it proved President Biden's complicity in receiving bribes," Buck said.

At this point they are nothing more than monkeys flinging poo for attention.

It is pretty easy to see what happened...daddy vlad told dementia don about all this dirt that Smirnov had on Biden. Dementia Don being too lazy, too stupid to see it for what it is and to research if it is real, pushed it onto Goober Comer and Gym Jordan and told them to impeach Biden over it. Being good little bootlickers they started down the road. Once the FBI told them it wasn't credible that was reported back to Dementia Don and he had a fit over it and told them to do it anyways (because they would look like fools, not him) because all he does is use people for his needs and then tosses them away.

What amazes me is he can continually find people that will gleefully throw their careers, lives, freedom and reputation away for him.

It's like he is the cuck whisperer. It's a mental illness.

How many times does Gym Jordan have to step on the rake that smacks him in the face before he stops?

They are not a serious party.

And the GQP are either too stupid to not fall for it or worse yet willingly went along with it because it furthered their quest for power.

How fu**ing sad and corrupt the GQP has become. It used to be they stood up to the RUssians, now they willingly take it in the rear from RUssia.

What sad little beings they are. Have some ---- dignity for christ sakes.

Now he has also admitted to having ties to Russian intelligence officers.

Alexander Smirnov, a longtime FBI informant with ties to Ukraine,

Let me get this straight, if the FBI had you working for them for 13 years as an informant with ties to Ukraine wouldn't it be expected you could or should have some ties to Russian intelligence officers?

And second even if his testimony is false does it make Joe's texts, emails, lunches and WH visits with Hunter's business partners (that Joe said he never talked with) disappear?

Undermines the narrative that all of the above were tied to an illegal bribery scheme. That much is for sure.

Swallow it.

Comer just say he (and Jordan) were told by Wray this guy was very reliable.

Who is lying? LOL

I know where my money is.

This is why when you go on wild goose chases, chances are you're going to look bad.

Yeah I mean the tie that all this was illegal was based on his testimony. Biden and company have pretty much explained texts, emails, lunches. Now all you have is innuendo.

Why the need to make them disappear?

The first thing the House investigative committee needs to do is show how they are relevant.

Or maybe you know more than what has been presented so far?

If so, please, do tell.

If true, we need a new head of the FBI...can't understand why Biden continues to allow PO1135809 appointees to remain in their positions. Dude should've been let go on principle alone.

It also doesn't make any of them a crime.

All your "evidence" of a crime just vanished.

Again.

Meanwhile Humpy Trumpy still faces 91 criminal indictments for all the criminal evidence that actually exists against him.

Comer and Jordan both have a history of, how do I say this, stretching the truth.

And they can play this political game in public to create doubt while knowing the FBI will not engage.

In fact, Ray and company probalby crack jokes about how Comer and Jordan are chumps.

"Now he has also admitted to having ties to Russian intelligence officers."

It's not necessarily the contacts that are the problem.

It's that the "evidence" comes directly from Russian intelligence officers. So Russia is feeding false information and propaganda designed to divide and undermine American Democracy to republicans who are then using and spreading that false information to the American public as "facts" and then as evidence of a crime against a sitting President and using it as the basis of an impeachment inquiry.

Pretty embarrassing and humiliating for Republicans. (Or would be if they had any shame.)

And a huge waste of time and money and bordering on fraud waste and abuse of their public offices.

What better way to discredit a witness that the FBI has relied on for YEARS than to have his arrested on fake charges by the corrupt/weaponized Biden DOJ. At this point it doesn't matter - no one wants to impeach Biden, we want to run against this ------. After he is out of office, we can lock him up with his corrupt family.

On nearly every issue, the Republican Party lies and demagogues to foment anger. Rather than actually work to solve our nation's problems, the GOP instead decided to embark on an apparently permanent propaganda campaign that riles its base to the point of violent hatred of Democrats/the "other," because an angry base votes more reliably than a populace that is well-informed and knows that real life isn't as black and white as they're being led to believe.

We all remember when Hunter was an "unpaid White House advisor" even though he couldn't pass a security check and went to the ME and came back with two billion dollars
Oh wait, that was Jarhead.
Or when he went to China and came back with dozens of business licenses when his daddy gave China a pass for spying on American troops.
Oh wait, that was Iwanna.
