Is there a transcript of those 101 seconds?

Or do I have to waste 101 seconds to learn something I can read is a few seconds?

I do not disagree on that point.

But a musical performance is quite different than political commentary. Musical vs lyrics and all that.

Why doesn't the Lincoln Project make transcripts available? Simple question. I mean, if the Lincoln Project is as serious as they purport to be, why not make the transcripts available?

I will admit, that's my big problem with youtube vlogs, they seem to drone on and on for minutes in order to say something that I could read and understand in a few seconds.

Yeah, a picture may be worth a thousand words, but when that picture is some person droning on in front of a camera, well, all bets are off.

There were those youtube links you used to post about some guy with a Southern accent saying things that seemed to be at odds with a Southern accent. I watched one of them. What a waste of time. It took him multiple minutes to say somthing he could have said in a blog in a couple hundred words. But his eye rolls were entertaining....

Only 500,000 subscribers who want to suffer through his ramblings and eye-rolls (yeah, I've watched a couple of his videos)?

In today's youtube environment? Only 500,000?

That's a pittance.

Maybe if he would release transcripts on a blog he might do better.

And for the record, I did not disagree with what he said.

My problem was how long he took to say anything of relevance.

Once he got to that relevance, he was quite good in his comments.

But I did not want to suffer through the video eye-rolls for minutes in order to understand what he was saying. I could have read his opinion, without the eye-rolls, in seconds on a blog.

That's my main issue with the vlogs on youtube. It seems to be the video presentation, not the content, that is important.
