Oakland police said there has been a recent increase in smash-and-grab robberies citywide, specifically targeting people in cars. Robberies have increased by 32% this year compared to the same time period last year. In several recent cases, police said that people were either sitting in their cars or stopped while driving when approached by one or more suspects. The suspects then broke the passenger side window and grabbed their belongings from the passenger side.

Oakland, the same city where, for safety reasons, Taco Bell closed its dining rooms and In-N-Out closed its first restaurant in its 75-year history, costing 100 employees their jobs.

Doing a heck of a job Oakey! Gotta coddle those criminals. Wouldn't want them to get the impression that they should work for a living like the people that they victimize.

"Wouldn't want them to get the impression that they should work for a living like the people that they victimize."

Since 1975, practically all the gains in household income have game to the top 20% of households.

The bottom 80% of households are getting the impression that working for a living is a scam that only rewards the top 20% of households.

And this some justifies stealing from others who are trying to make a living? Is that what you do? Steal from others so you can get high and blame everything on the top 20%. If you had half a brain, you'd be figuring out how to get into that 20% instead of laying up and stealing for your drugs while using 20% as your crutch.

The game is rigged.
So is the justice system.
When the Social Contract isn't being enforced, society starts to crumble.

"If someone steals money from their employer, they could be guilty of a serious crime. But what if an employer takes money from their employee's paychecks?

There's a good chance they'll get away with it, a CBS News investigation found."

So don't stop in Oakland for any reason.

Got it. Though if I were to find myself in Oakland I would be very very surprised. Everyone here in California knows all about Oakland.

Of course it's not just Oakland. There are lots of places in America where you do not want to be and you definitely should not stop in some places there.

From the list of the list dangerous places in America Oakland is number 5

1. Memphis, Tennessee. The most dangerous city in America is Memphis, Tennessee. ...
2. St. Louis, Missouri. St. Louis, Missouri, is also one of the worst cities in America due to its high crime rate. ...
3. Little Rock, Arkansas. ...
4. Baton Rouge, Louisiana. ...
5. Oakland, California. ...

Chicago, Illinois (Gracie's favorite town to hate on) is number 13 on the list.

If you'd find a job other than day labor, you probably wouldn't run into this type of problem.

#6 That's what I'm saying bro.

The people out there doing this, it's this or day labor.

They don't have the better options.

To which your response is, they have better options but they just don't take advantage of them.

Well, that doesn't address the problem. It just blames it on being poor. So nothing will change.

You can't police your way out of a bad economy. That just makes it worse.
