Thousands of people have been charged under the same statute and none of them whined about "witch-hunts."

"No, no, no!

This is a first time ever misuse of statute and a matter of Dem Lawfare!" - U no Who

DON'T TELL JEFF!

In his warped little mind, this is the first time anyone has been charged with it ever.

Poor jeffyj

Always the eager doormat cleaning the shoes of the GOP so they don't track the ---- onto the carpets

I suspect low self esteem is a major factor, who else returns over and over again, prostrating themselves, only to be humiliated once again in return

Lol talk about grasping.

FFS pay attention...

No one has said falsifying documents has never been charged.

BUT:

"We are pretty sure that at the heart of this charge is filing false business records with an attempt to defraud -- that's a misdemeanor, a state charge -- that can become a felony if it's done in furtherance of another crime," Shaw said. "So, the question becomes what might that other crime be?"

"If it's a federal campaign finance crime, that is pretty novel legal terrain," she continued. "It's also possible that there's another crime, in the vein of a state tax crime, that a false records charge could be tied to, making it into a felony."

10,000 people not named Trump have been charged with a "crime" that morons believe doesn't even exist.

None of these other people were cult leaders, though, so they all deserved it.

Wow, "pretty novel legal terrain" is some really hard-hitting legal analysis. Basically it's never been tied to an election crime. So what? One of the non-Trumps who was charged with falsification of records did so in furtherance of food stamp fraud. Oh ... . the horror! A poor person did something naughty and needs to go to jail. A fake tycoon ex-president should get a pass.

It's funny how much y'all morons whine about the novelty of the Trump situations.

But instead of being pissed at Trump for his creating these situations, you whine about those holding him accountable.

So... your current alias seems to agree with the prosecutor's case in the current Court trial?

Please, explain to me, does your current alias agree or disagree the charges in that case?

The comments it posts seems to be against, but the link it posts seem to be in favor.

thx.

Well how many of those 10,000 falsified their business records to hide hush money in connection with election?

Sometimes pretty novel is appropriate because it had never been done before.

Smellvis could have AVOIDED all of this if he wasn't a greedy little ---- and wrote it off as legal fees to get a tax deduction. If he just would have paid it personally and been done with it, this would have never happened. But no, the very stable genius had to write if off because that's what criminals do.

Just like his fake loans to himself. His need to "put one over" on the IRS is going to be his downfall.

Nixon,

I agree. Its "novelty" is only that it hasn't been applied to a violation of election law. For some reason, the "election integrity" party thinks that's just minor stuff.

It has been applied to tax law violations, which are also at issue here.

That is pretty funny; wanting a tax deduction on his hush money payment made to keep the news from likely killing his chances at winning the election.

I've seen greedy before, but not such stupid greedy like this. Maybe Ann Coulter was right.

the "election integrity" party

Their idea of election integrity is blocking poor people from voting.

I've seen greedy before, but not such stupid greedy like this.

It's only stupid greedy if he gets convicted.

His problem is that he hired a lawyer to handle this that saw how he operates, was fearful of not getting paid back and tape recorded the conversations to ensure he would get paid back.

If the bloated rapist was such a sniveling cheap ass when it came to paying contractors I doubt Cohen would have done that.
