Given that procedural lag time, The New Yorker asked four outside experts to review Yeni's medical file, which her mother obtained. All four said that Yeni's death was preventable; that she'd been discharged prematurely from the Austin hospital; and that a therapeutic abortion, if offered and accepted, would probably have saved her life.

The abortion ban is costing hundreds if not thousands of women their lives but we are only in rare instances ever going to know their names.

And things are gearing up to be worse

Right now hospitals that accept Medicaid and Medicare are required to give emergency reproductive care. Idaho has challenged that law and the SC is likely to issue its opinion in the EMTALA case this week overturning the stay and allowing states to ignore federal law and prevent needed abortions. 6 women have had to be medivacced out of Idaho to receive necessary reproductive care

Probably the equivalent of an underground railroad will probably be necessary to preserve women's lives but the "Good Christiams are so brainwashed by their cult leaders that they will not end their war on women's rights even when it costs mothers their lives. Some of these women have children already living that need their mothers to continue living and being their mothers but these cult members seem to care little about that.
