The Democratic National Committee is considering formally nominating Joe Biden as early as mid-July to stamp out intra-party chatter of replacing him after last week's poor debate performance.

Now wait a minute, hold on, take a breath.

Polls show biden leading after the debate

hmmmmm

might be a single debate won't be a decider.

And do you think today's decision will help -------?

I think not.

Things might NOT be as bad as all that.

Of course the Republicans are and will cheat, so there is that.

BTW the nomination was going to be called to avoid an issue with Ohio ballots.

Yeah, I knew that part.

Just don't like them rushing things ahead of schedule whilst sentiment is still percolating.

Nothing good I've heard since the debate about Joe's mental acuity, i.e., it wasn't an off night. Like that they've been sending butlers home at night so they don't observe Joe sundowning. So not expecting much better from Joe at the second debate.

At least they scheduled the debates early enough for some of the public to come to terms with Joe's dementia before the election. Hope springs in the heart, eternal.

Dems should be pushing Cornel West to drop out. He is now on the MI ballot. What could go wrong?

Two party system or not, third parties exist and people have the right to vote for whom They want, or not vote at all if they can't stomach their choices.

Blaming third parties for losing elections is BS.

Nobody is ENTITLED to anyone's vote. Period.

That would require a level of self-awareness and concern for others that is entirely lacking amongst American third-parties like the Greens.

Meanwhile, in France:
French Candidates Drop Out En Masse to Stop Far-Right Takeover [by Le Pen]
"More than 200 centrist and left-wing candidates have withdrawn from the second round of France's snap parliamentary elections. [...] The centrist and left-wing parties have agreed to drop their candidates in districts where either's candidates may split the vote in favor of the far-right.[...] If Le Pen's party takes power on July 7, it would be the first time the far-right has controlled the country since Vichy France. Her party has promised to "Stop the flood of immigrants" and strictly limit who is eligible for citizenship, according to its website."
