DeSantis got away with that a few years ago. Haphazardly purging names that sounded alike (mostly Spanish speaking) for dual registration, mostly in Georgia.

Glad to see my old home state potentially getting confused with former Soviet republics.

One of my kids was registered to vote in 4 states. Each time he moved and applied for a drivers license, he was registered to vote in the new state. His drivers license was automatically invalidated in the old state, but his voter registration was not. When an old landlord told him he got an absentee ballot at a former address, he checked and discovered he could vote in all 4 states. Of course, he didn't, but what if a new tenant had sent in that ballot? He could have been arrested.
Georgia' purge methods are too aggressive, but something needs to be done to maintain accurate voter rolls..
