Supreme Court's Effort to Save Trump is Already Working
Quinta Jurecic: The conservative justices created so many avenues for challenge and confusion that the Court functionally collaborated in Trump's strategy of delay.

I can't come up with a SCOTUS that history is likely to hold in a worse light than the Roberts Court; not even the Taney Court.

Not to worry. The Dems will win the 2024 elections by such a large margin there'll be no room to doubt the outcome, and after that, real justice can prevail despite all of the SCOTUS's efforts to help delay his trials.

What might shed some light on obvious bias of the U.S. Supreme Court is if the DOJ in a Harris administration launched an immediate investigation to provide concrete evidence of grifting and tax evasion among the Trump appointed justices ~ with an eye toward recommending impeachments to the House of Representatives and a guilty verdict from the Senate.
Of course, that would only work if Democrats have control of the House and the Senate. But that would be up to us, the voters, wouldn't it? If we fail in that respect, then we deserve what we get ~ a Supreme Court that will always give Trump a pass no matter how many trials find him guilty.
In a Harris administration, with control of both the House and Senate, it would be interesting to see how many justices opt to retire rather than face impeachment ~ a move that would put Trump and the GOP's plan for an autocracy, out of business, permanently.
I'm just saying. It's our responsibility to give President Harris the tools she needs to put an end to this bias and stop the Republicans from using our warped system of justice against us because . . . justice delayed is justice denied.
And the GOP isn't going to stop just because Trump loses an election.

Fascism cannot come to power and stay in power without the utter corruption of the legal system, as both Germany showed and Russia shows.

"Fascism cannot come to power and stay in power without the utter corruption of the legal system, as both Germany showed and Russia shows."
Which is exactly why the U.S. Supreme Court is the disease (and not the symptom).
They are Trump's Ace up his sleeve.

Unfortunately this court will be around long after making horrible rulings for America for a long time unless Dems can rebalance it.

Fast forward . . .
So will the 70+ appellate judges that Trump will be appointing due to empty seats and mandatory age retirements during a Trump administration.
Can you imagine the havoc Trump could raise with that many new appellate judges on the bench who owe their jobs to him.
That little factoid was brought up by Larence O'Donnell tonight on MSNBC
