Shifty Shellshock Died of Accidental Drug Overdose

The musician Shifty Shellshock, who died in June at age 49, lost his life from the "effects of fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine," according to online records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. He was the frontman of Crazy Town and best known for the songs "Butterfly" and "Starry Eyed Surprise," though in later years got attention for reality TV shows about battling addiction.

One-hit wonder band, and that one hit's main riff was a sample of a Chili Peppers song.

But he was famous for a few minutes. Probably hard to figure out what to do with the rest of your life once that's over.

He wasn't a one-hit wonder. He was a two-hit wonder.

Now, the horn chord thing may not be copyrightable, but the muted guitar riff is.

Addictions come to us telling us that we will be always in control, it will be just a little for a little time, and then addictions show their real face, as we attend funerals, and find ourselves looking at sunrises with not joy, but gloom.
But for a moment they help us forget, and sometimes, for some, they are the only painkiller that works.
Personally, I saw screw Mars and all the money spent on irrelevant things, and spend more on drug rehab and hope right here on this planet Earth.

It isn't copyright infringement because it's done with permission and the originators of the samples get paid. Happens all over music these days.

Aerosmith thank God every day for Run DMC reviving their career. At that time, they were headed downward to theaters then clubs.

Reminds me of the doc that came in to give the bad news to a wife that her husband had died of lead poisoning. "From a bullet to the heart."
