... At stake is a 1980 Mercedes-Benz convertible, more than a dozen luxury watches and bank accounts holding an unknown amount of cash. Giuliani must turn over the property to Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, who won a $148 million defamation verdict against him last year after Giuliani falsely accused them of committing election fraud in the 2020 election. At one point during a court hearing Thursday, while lawyers were discussing the whereabouts of certain jewelry, Giuliani removed a gold ring from his pinky finger, placed it on the defense table and motioned to his lawyer, appearing to suggest his lawyer hand it to the plaintiffs' attorneys on the spot. Giuliani's lawyer, Kenneth Caruso, handed the ring back to his client. U.S. District Court Judge Lewis Liman last month ordered Giuliani to turn over a lengthy list of property within seven days. In addition to the Mercedes and other personal property, Giuliani was required to give up his Upper East Side apartment and a $2 million legal claim for unpaid attorneys' fees from the Trump 2020 campaign and the Republican National Committee. ...

@#3 ... Can you get a presidential pardon for a civil suit and loss? ...
Good question.
I based my #2 on it being a Federal case.
But, as I have said before, I am not a lawyer.

ArtII.S2.C1.3.1 Overview of Pardon Power constitution.congress.gov
... The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.[italics theirs] The Constitution establishes the President's authority to grant clemency, encompassing not only pardons of individuals but several other forms of relief from criminal punishment as well.1 The power, which has historical roots in early English law,2 has been recognized by the Supreme Court as quite broad. In the 1886 case Ex parte Garland, the Court referred to the President's authority to pardon as "unlimited" except in cases of impeachment, extending to "every offence known to the law" and able to be exercised "either before legal proceedings are taken, or during their pendency, or after conviction and judgment."3 Much later, the Court wrote that the "broad power conferred" in the Constitution gives the President "plenary authority" to "'forgive' [a] convicted person in part or entirely, to reduce a penalty in terms of a specified number of years, or to alter it" with certain conditions.4 Despite the breadth of the President's authority under the Pardon Clause, the Constitution's text provides for at least two limits on the power: first, clemency may only be granted for "Offenses against the United States,"5 meaning that state criminal offenses and federal or state civil claims are not covered.6 Second, the President's clemency authority cannot be used "in Cases of impeachment."7 ...

Bankruptcy law is quite different from criminal or civil law. Rudy provided nearly no defense or rebuttal or reorganization plan. He just thought the matter would go away or that his assets would not be located. He is now claiming that he cannot turn over his Mickey Mantle Jersey because it is being held by a collector on Long Island and the collector will not allow access to his building and to the item. That's laughable. When US Marshals show up the collector had better cooperate otherwise some idiot will find themselves in federal custody. Bankruptcy judges have considerable power and are not to be played ...

Yeah, I had thought that also.
But the court seems to be of a differing opinion.
So now my current opinion is: delay, delay, delay. Hoping for a pardon.

In the "Biggest Fall from Grace Awards", Rudy's main competition is O.J. Simpson and Bill Cosby. Pete Rose if you want to include a white guy.
