Fort Worth Passes Austin as Fourth-Largest City in Texas
FORT WORTH, Texas - Fort Worth is now the fourth-largest city in Texas, according to new estimates from the Texas Demographic Center. Fort Worth passed Austin to take the fourth spot behind Houston, San Antonio and Dallas.

That barely edged out Austin's estimated 986,928 residents.
