Gov. Ron DeSantis' administration canceled a transgender activist's driver's license after the popular TikToker publicly posted about changing the stated gender on their ID. James Rose, a non-binary content creator who uses they and she pronouns, posted a video in December about changing the gender on their license from male to female. Rose talked about using a "loophole" in the process to replace lost licenses. In a letter dated Monday, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles told Rose that it had canceled their license and replaced it with one that listed their gender as male. "My God, Ron DeSantis would be screaming right now if he knew about this," Rose said in the video, which appears to be now removed from their social media pages. "This was not easy, we're not even supposed to be able to do this in this state."

It's NOT. Republicans are scoundrels.

I saw the video.

He can call himself transgender but frankly his behavior is just like the drag queens I knew in the 70's and 80's. Nothing has changed except now they're transgender instead of drag queens.

Same flamboyant exaggerated "you go girl" way of putting on a show.

Same with the Bud Light drag queen. Acting immature and childish.

How they look is the least of it.

Acting a little more controlled might lend them a little more credence.

I really doubt this post will stay up for very long but I said it.

And the "suck my d***" ending directed toward De Santis was just asking for trouble.

Dumb.

The party of, "let's rename the Gulf of Mexico!"

Seems unable to accept when people rename themselves.

GFY BillJohnson. You don't care about us. You just don't. You just parrot whatever Right Wing America tells you and you regurgitate it. Nothing more.

Laura,

"You don't care about us"

I care about gay rights but what transgender "rights" have evolved into is not gay rights.

It has turned into a freak show spewing hatred.

I actually feel sorry for the genuine transgender people. I have known them.

I posted years ago real transgendered people will rue the day gay activists decided to utilitize "transgender rights" for their own political gain.

Transgendered people have existed for centuries and everyone knew they existed and no one cared. Christians didn't talk about it. It was a non-issue until gays and atheist liberals decided to use it to gain more political traction.

Frankly it has backfired as I knew I would.

- Christians didn't talk about it.

That's actually a good point for supposed Christians to reconsider. Their job originally wasn't the Morality Police, it was minding their own damn business.

They were told by the Messiah and Paul both that although they shouldn't participate in the immoral (to Jews) sexual practices they saw around them in places like Rome and Carthage... they were not to condemn the people who did participate.

AND, almost stunningly for NT scripture, they were told that if they DID judge and condemn people for their gender or sexual practices, they themselves would be condemned just as harshly.

Some people never listen.

No you don't care about gay rights. Every time gays have advanced in rights recognition. You've had a hissy fit here. Oh and Christians have always dispised Trans people ever since they came to this continent. They haven't accepted us. Far from it.

As Europeans and subsequently Euro-Americans moved from east to west, they spread diseases and imposed European culture and religions onto Natives. In the 20th century, as neurotic prejudices, instigated by Christian influences, increased among Native Americans, acceptance of gender diversity and androgynous persons sharply declined. Two Spirits were commonly forced by government officials, Christian representatives or even their assimilated Native communities to conform to standardized gender roles. Those who felt they could not make this transition either went underground or committed suicide. The imposition of Euro-American marriage laws invalidated the same-gender marriages that were once common among tribes across North America. The Native American cultural pride revivals that began in the 1960s / Red Power movements brought about a new awareness of the Two Spirit tradition and has

Laura,

When transgender "rights" decided to impose on women and codify legal rights for people with male genitalia to use women's facilities, that was a fatal decision and mistake.

Society which is predominantly straight will never permit that.

And now this idea of permitting male bodied people to compete against women in sports is nothing short of misogyny.

Gays crying victim over this is foolishness and dooming gay rights as a whole to be set back which is unfortunate.
