Those comments were made almost five years ago, but to the Trump administration, they may as well have been made yesterday. United States Attorney for the District of Columbia Ed Martin sent a letter one day after Trump retook office asking Schumer about those remarks. "I respectfully request that you clarify your comments from March 4, 2020," Martin wrote, citing the heated language uttered at the rally, according to a copy of the document obtained by the National Legal and Policy Center.

I am curious where the free speech magat scum warriors are on this.

------- is literally weaponizing the DoJ against his political rivals.

Despite what you scum claim Biden did not weaponize the DoJ against his rival.

The damage is happening and is beyond repair.

Magat scum are vile.

I thought these types of threats were to be taken seriously. The FBI investigated parents who spoke up at school board meetings. Never m8nd the fact that a law exists prohibiting threats against government officials.

Laws for thee but not for me.

" Threatening government officials is a felony in the United States. The penalties for threatening a government official depend on the official threatened and the type of threat.
Threatening the president
A felony under 18 U.S.C. 871
The United States Secret Service investigates
The penalty is up to five years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, or both
Threatening other government officials
A Class C or D felony under 18 U.S.C. 875, 18 U.S.C. 876, and other statutes
The Federal Bureau of Investigation investigates
The penalty is usually up to five or ten years in prison"

"Nobody is above the law."

What a riot, coming from the head water carrier for the lawbreakers.

But prove me wrong: Name any Trump indictment which you or I could do without fear of legal repercussions.

The president does not make The Law.

The president is supposed to faithfully enforce it.

But now that Trumpy has got the Power that he craved so much one is immune from Trumpy's executive policy of revenge and retribution.

"Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind" is a phrase from the Bible, specifically Hosea 8:7, meaning that actions have consequences, often more severe than expected. It suggests that foolish or reckless behavior can lead to significant negative outcomes.
