Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

In mid-February, Trump administration leaders received a desperate warning from their diplomats posted in Vietnam, one of the most important American partners in Asia. Workers were in the middle of cleaning up the site of an enormous chemical spill, the Bien Hoa air base, when Secretary of State Marco Rubio abruptly halted all foreign aid funding. The shutdown left exposed open pits of soil contaminated with dioxin, the deadly byproduct of Agent Orange, which the American military sprayed across large swaths of the country during the Vietnam War. After Rubio's orders to stop work, the cleanup crews were forced to abandon the site, and, for weeks, all that was covering the contaminated dirt were tarps, which at one point blew off in the wind.

Under Biden, Vietnam and US became strategic partners. Now we are going to alienate them. Trumpf and his sidekick Little Marco are monsters: vn.usembassy.gov

Alienating one of the strongest potential allies we could have in a war against China.

Which is guess is only appropriate since we treat our actual allies like chrap nowadays ...

There's no sane point to this.

Trump enjoys making people suffer, and he enjoys being the cause of their deaths.

It's the sensation of personal power that feeds his insanity.

American vets killed by Agent Orange were suckers and losers.

Did Dotard Trumpf go after the late US Senator John McCain (R-AZ) again? John McCain worked hard to reconcile US and Vietnam and his brain cancer may have been caused by Agent Orange: https://vn-agentorange.org/did-agent-orange-cause-john-mccains-cancer/

My father died from Agent Orange poisoning. That was rough karma for him. He went blind, his teeth turned black and fell out. Suffered serious nerve damage. It starts like a bad acne that covers the body. The military told him it was a fungus he caught in a river.

Between that and Malaria... he was a mess... died with all sorts of things failing on him.

Early in his 1st administration, he held some meaningless photo op in the WH with Vietnam veterans where the discussion topics came around to the subject of Agent Orange and it's rather detrimental affects on a substantial # the soldiers and airmen who served there. Trump became visibly agitated as to why the vets were complaining about defoliants. When someone attempted to explain, he cut them off, hectoring them that they were all wrong, insisting that Agent Orange was napalm. I suppose he still believes that to this day. True story. Look it up.

There's a good chance that Trump thinks "Agent Orange" is Vietnam's nickname for him.

Just gonna ..a-hem.. leave this here...

dioxins are prone to 99.9% destruction just at 700 C, whereas the temperature of decomposition of other dioxin synthesis precursor compounds may be approximately 800 C.

Napalm burns at temperatures ranging from 800 to 1,200 C
