This early cold snap here in CT (though, probably more of a cool-snap in Florida) is interesting.

Considering it is looking like a La Nina winter here in the NorthEast.

I went out to the garage and told my Ariens snow thrower that I appreciate all it has done for me through the winters with multiple 5"+ snowstorms, including the big 15+ plus ones.

Oddly, of late that snow thrower has been quiet. The past two winters I used it once. And that use was more to just run it than a need to clear the driveway.

As opposed to the multi-snow-storms of the past winters, when I enlisted the help of that snow-thrower to clear 5+ inches of snow from the driveway a few time (many times?) each winter.

And, fwiw, the snow flurries I see here are "lake effect" snow from the cold air flowing over the warm waters of the Great Lakes. By the time the lake effect sno gets here, we get flurries. In the Buffalo, NY snow-belt area they get inches, sometimes feet.

Let' look ...
