Texas Republicans could jeopardize a race they usually expect to win, as poor candidate choices could open the door to an upset, according to a new analysis on pollster Nate Silver's website.

"Texas Representative James Talarico, a Democratic candidate in the race, told MS Now last week:
"The reason the Trump administration and their billionaire friends are trying to silence me and this movement is because they're worried that we are going to flip Texas in November."
U.S. Representative Jasmine Crockett of Texas, another Democratic candidate in the race, previously told Newsweek:
"We are living in unprecedented times, and so I think an unprecedented candidate is exactly what it's going to take to actually be able to flip this seat."
