Dating apps were the darling of Wall Street a decade ago but there is trouble in the relationship. The largest companies Match.Com and Bumble lost more than $40 billion in market value the past two years as their millennial users found their partners and Generation Z doesn't like paying to find dates. Mandy Wang, an 18-year-old NYU student, said subscribing to them is "ick." "People use dating apps, but I don't know anyone who pays for it," she said. |
