Arizona Repeals 1864 Law that Imposes a Near Total Abortion Ban

The Arizona Senate repealed an 1864 abortion law that was had been ruled enforceable by the state's Supreme Court. The Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs said she will sign the bill, which passed in a 16-14 vote, with two Republicans joining Democrats. But the new law won't go into effect until Fall.

They can't. Their positions are already know, and votes they lose over abortion won't all come back with a simple flip-flop.

Republicans have made it clear they don't "get it" on women's issue. They see the adverse affects of their anti-choice laws and still support them.

Every time a Republican man opens his mouth to talk about rape, something from 1850 comes out, and it makes the national news.

Alito found a way to codify all that backwards thinking into law.

If Trump flips on abortion, that might be a good way for him to win. Trump voters are stupid enough to believe Trump, and stupid enough to believe Trump has the power to undo a Supreme Court opinion, which he does not.

We have six months to go until the November 5, 2024 election, plenty of time for the Republican Party to show us just who they are and what they stand for, and whose ring they kiss or what Trump lie they endorse. Not sure why anyone would vote for someone who says that the free and fair election of 2020 was stolen, because that means they themselves are against our rule of law, one person, one vote, democracy.

The GOP has really painted themselves into a corner. So many of them claimed to be prolife for so long and now when the rubber meets the road they are embracing prochoice positions. Let's see if their evangelical base holds them accountable for their new found support of abortion rights.
