'Air Traffic Controllers Cannot Do Their Work Without Us'
The Trump administration has defended its cuts at the Federal Aviation Administration by saying safety-critical employees weren't affected. Experts disagree.

More DOGE stupidity that could get people killed. Winning!:
More than 130 of the eliminated workers held jobs that directly or indirectly support the air traffic controllers, facilities and technologies that the FAA uses to keep planes and their passengers safe, according to the union that represents them, the Professional Aviation Safety Specialists. That alone creates reason for concern about the impact of the cuts, people familiar with the terminations said, even if the initial firings spared the air traffic controllers themselves.

I am sure no matter what happens or who is at fault you will blame DOGE.
But seriously, 130 out of 45,000 employees and the planes are going to fall out of the sky?
Just this week:
Chevron announced it will lay off 8,000 employees, or 15% to 20% of its global workforce, by the end of 2026 as it seeks to cut costs, simplify its business, and complete a major acquisition.
Will the gas stop flowing?
Meta plans to reduce its workforce by approximately 5% (3600), targeting its lowest-performing employees.
Will Facebook and Instagram shut off?
Where are the tears for them?

I deal with the FAA on a continual basis.
There are as many FAA employees than planes in the air on any given day. Yet it took 6 months to get my registration after my plane purchase. It takes months to receive the actual updated license. Ask someone who fails a medical how long it takes the FAA to respond.
On top of all that, they don't run the two towers I use in the BayArea; Salinas, and San Carlos, these are privately run. Something I don't understand, if you have a short fall of controllers, the best way to train them is at the smaller fields. Same way the airlines do. Yet the FAA relies and pays for private companies to run these towers.

here's an idea for you radical zealots.
GOOGLE the clip of the 15 year pilot arguing with the DEI conroller about a landing techique
and then listen to her admit that she GOOGLED THE LANDING INSTRUCTIONS
THEN...FIND OUT where she's working and get on that plane......good luck getting home safely...

I'm starting to enjoy the way that you scramble to defend this crap.
I'll bet that you started to say "Gulf of America" on day one.

They never let me out, so I can't fly anywhere anyway.
Guess we don't need the FAA!

with the DEI conroller
"DEI" controllers, aka women, staff much of the ATC in Houston. They've safely controlled the airspace for numerous presidents including Donald Trump.
