Thirty officers at a Southern California juvenile detention facility have been charged for their role in facilitating so-called "gladiator fights" between youth in their care. A grand jury indictment alleges the officers at Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall in Los Angeles County allowed and sometimes encouraged nearly 70 fights to take place between Jul 2023 and Dec 2023. More than 140 victims between the ages of 12 and 18 were involved. LA has been dealing with problems operating their juvenile detention centers for years, but this takes the cake. A society is judged by the conditions of its prisons and the US gets an "F minus."

For setting up "fight clubs" for juveniles in their care, I hope karma catches up to these 30 so-called correctional officers sooner than later.

The psychological line separating some officers in uniform from many prisoners is oftentimes well nigh imperceptible. Cops as thugs, thugs as cops really seems way too common.

Hi Doc Sarvis. You have a good point. The bullies in grade school either graduate to the local police force or the local crime syndicate. After conviction, these correctional officers are going to be bullied a bit in prison. Karma.

Poor oversight in 100% Democrat controlled system.

Ever met a probation officer? I work with many in San Diego.

Every single one is a proud Trumper.

But, yeah, poor oversight.

All the detention officers I know are Democrats. And that's actually true.

@#2 ... The psychological line separating some officers in uniform from many prisoners is oftentimes well nigh imperceptible. ...

That is similar to something I have often taken a step back to think about.

Operating right on the edge of lawful vs unlawful, what are the consequences?

@#7 ... And that's actually true. ...

Given the apparent veracity of your alias' prior comments, your alias may be able to see why I may remain skeptical of that statement.

Guy I bought dope from in my HS class in the 70s was a few years later an NYC detective. Certainly could have gone either way. Nice smart guy.

Only one data point but there it is.

So your other previous posts over the years were untrue.

Solid, appreciate the transparency.

Fact of the matter is, the probability that these officers are cultist MAGAts is exceedingly high. LA law enforcement is well known to be so, especially in the Sheriff's office.
