"Houthi PC Small Group" was apparently not the only group chat Mike Waltz was cooking up on Signal.

I'll wager at least one of these group chats had two folks identified as "VP", one being JV Vance, and the other being a guy interested in hearing all about America's secrets, no matter the topic...

Careers in the USIC and DOD have been destroyed for far less violations of handling classified information. Years ago an NCO made a mistake of "spilling" HUMINT information in a report, pissing off his boss no end. Ready to fire the NCO, I talked him out of it and we moved the error-prone SGT to a less critical job. Of course the NCO was reprimanded, but his career was not ended.

In 2016 the GOP went after Hillary Clinton like ugly on ape over her emails. D/FBI James Comey threw her under the bus as well, damaging her in the polls and costing Hillary the election. Last month, D/FBI Kash Patel said investigating this Signal chat group spill "wasn't an FBI thing."

... National security adviser Mike Waltz's team regularly set up chats on Signal to coordinate official work on issues ...

When I first saw the SignalGate transcript, I noticed the people on that chat seemed to be way too comfortable with using an insecure public app for such a, I'll be kind, sensitive discussion.

At the time, I wondered if that was not the first time Signal was used for such chats.

Pentagon watchdog launches probe into Signal chat
abcnews.go.com

... The Pentagon's independent watchdog has announced it has agreed to a request from top senators and is launching a probe into the use of the commercial messaging app Signal by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and other senior Trump administration officials to discuss an imminent U.S. military strike against Houthi militants in Yemen.

Last week, Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Roger Wicker, R-Miss., and ranking member Jack Reed, D-R.I., sent a letter to DOD acting Inspector General Steven Stebbins requesting an expedited inquiry into that Signal discussion. ...

The revolution will not be televised.

But the coming global Apocalypse will be texted in bright-colored emojis, real-time, on Signal.

@#8 ... you guys are gonna make those little things ...

There has been ample discussion on this most august site why these things may not be "little things."

So, please, explain the rationale behind your current alias' view that SignalGate is a "little thing."

thx.

Espionage.

This demands investigation and arrests.

Trump is complicit.

These are moments that aren't empty of repercussion.

@#13 ... Espionage.

This demands investigation and arrests....

... and I would say high quality espionage, i.e. state-level espionage.

Why do I think that?

Because the results of such espionage is not disclosed publicly.

So then imo, the question becomes ... which states?
