When I first saw the SignalGate transcript, I noticed the people on that chat seemed to be way too comfortable with using an insecure public app for such a, I'll be kind, sensitive discussion.

At the time, I wondered if that was not the first time Signal was used for such chats.

There has been ample discussion on this most august site why these things may not be "little things."

So, please, explain the rationale behind your current alias' view that SignalGate is a "little thing."

... and I would say high quality espionage, i.e. state-level espionage.

Why do I think that?

Because the results of such espionage is not disclosed publicly.

So then imo, the question becomes ... which states?
