Timothy McVeigh was stopped by a state trooper because he had no license tag on his car. He was arrested because he had a firearm in his possession, and told the trooper as much. In 2025, that same Okiehomie state trooper would have given him a ticket and allowed him to go on his way. Think about it. A mass murderer would have been let loose by a law enforcement officer, even with a handgun in his possession...
