Nearly 150 unauthorized workers have been accounted for among three businesses in Colorado following workplace audits, resulting in more than $8 million in fines. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said its Denver office issued a notice of intent to fine CCS Denver, Inc.; PBC Commercial Cleaning Systems, Inc.; and Green Management Denver. The fines are a result of "widespread employment eligibility violations," ICE said.

Entire workforce illegal.
Company knowingly hired an entirely illegal workforce.

No criminal penalty for the employer.
just a fine of $71,105 per employee.

This exemplifies why companies will simply keep hiring unauthorized workers.

Agreed.

But after due process, of course.

I have often commented upon the companies that seem to encourage the influx of undocumented immigrants into the Country. An apparent sponsored influx to the extent that the Country's economy seems to rely upon the undocumented immigrants.

But, I do have one question ...

How does a company be thrown into jail?
