in the stretch was magnificent run for the champ.

the two main ones in CA...del mar and santa anita are falling
on tough times. hopefully the breeders cup ( world championship )
helped them out. Del Mar has been a fast track but when CA
required synthetic tracks they all went to S....cause
it screwed handicapping up for entries from dirt tracks.
they have since changed that law.
--cashed some sweet tickets from Del Mar especially from
vegas book.

We were on the infield next to the rail. The ground literally shook when they passed.

most of my handicapping is done the night / morning before
so races I"m still thinking about I'll go to the paddock and watch them and how they look / sound and sweat.

then I'll move at 'riders up" to crosswalk and stick my nose out
to smell each one....no seriously... LOL

medicine...then to the gate...and yes you're right...the ground
does shake....and it takes 5-10 seconds for the dirt they kick
