Feliz Enrique was indicted with assault in the first degree and other crimes. The defendant allegedly approached a nine-year-old girl as she was playing on a Queens street and forcefully struck the child with his hand on 10 May. When a nearby, off-duty NYPD sergeant intervened with bystanders to apprehend him following the incident, Enrique allegedly bit off the top segment of the officer's right index finger. If convicted, Feliz Enrique faces up to 25 years in prison. Surveillance video captured the entire heinous incident. An indictment is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The girl was treated at a local hospital and sustained bruising to her arm and back, bleeding to her lip and arm, loose teeth, as well as substantial pain. The injured NYPD officer was also treated at a local hospital and sustained bite marks to his hand and leg, and abrasions to his arm and leg. Physicians were unable to reattach the officer's fingertip. Mental illness rates have increased in recent decades, with the highest rates recorded for women, younger adults, and people in western and midwestern America. Source: usafacts.org

Hi Effeteposer:

About 58.7 million adults had a mental illness in 2023: usafacts.org

Before the Trumpf Reign of Terror, the CDC reported increases in US mental heath cases: www.cdc.gov

Trumpf 2.0 is increasing anxiety in Americans: usnewsper.com and www.vox.com

Overall suicide rates in the US have increased: nchstats.com

Returning soldiers from America's "forever wars" suffer from PTSD and commit suicide: www.va.gov

Look at the number of people joining dangerous cults, like CVLT or the Zizians: Link

People may argue that mental illness in the US isn't growing, but I beg to differ, whatever the root cause of it is (age-related dementia, PTSD, drug/alcohol abuse, loneliness, genetics, Trumpf anxiety) and our prisons turn into asylums.

Madness...is it Contagious?

If the cops/laws aren't enforced it will spread.

I read a theory called "broken window"
en.m.wikipedia.org

Disorder is a signal, and the US since 2016 election has become extremely disordered.

But its not madness as in psych madness.

Us old folks already know what's coming.

Young adults don't (yet) but they do know they cannot compete well in MMOs while drunk.
