Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Thursday, June 12, 2025

Committee on House Administration's Subcommittee on Oversight Chairman Barry Loudermilk (GA-11) revealed that days before January 6, 2021, President Trump met with senior Pentagon leaders urging them to do their jobs to protect lives and property. The transcripts released show Trump gave senior Pentagon leadership directives to keep January 6 peaceful - including using the National Guard - which the Pentagon leaders ignored. This revelation directly contradicts the conclusions drawn in the flawed DoD IG reporton January 6, 2021.

It really was Pelosi's job. Trump asked her for resources, she said no..

This video shows Pelosi in a moment of leadership acknowledging that as Speaker of the House it was her responsibility to ensure the safety of Members of Congress that day and every other day. However, Pelosi never publicly took responsibility. Instead, Pelosi created the January 6 Select Committee with the purpose of publicly blaming Donald Trump for her own failures.

Despite Pelosi's claims yesterday on MSNBC that Republicans are engaging in revisionist history, this clip proves what Republicans have said for three years: it is Pelosi who has been determined to revise history and shift the blame away from herself for security failures at the Capitol on January 6

Trump encouraged an insurrection to overthrow democracy and you support it. Shame on you.

El Pollo Taco could have at any time got on the phone with the generals and ordered the Capitol be protected.

Instead he sat in the white house and cheered on the J6 traitors.

His video release while telling them to go home, praised them for what they did.

He pardoned them.

He is paying of the family of Ashli Babbit.

ICE has hired pardoned traitors.

He will pay them "reparations" for being convicted of actual crimes they committed.

He has verbally attacked the police officers that were attacked, injured and killed that day.

He has coerced the GQP to line up behind him in calling it a day of love and peace.

He is unfit for office.

He is a traitor.

#1 So what laws changed since J6 that now allows the president to call in the National Guard and Marines when it is convenient for his narrative now?

Since when did Pelosi have the authority to call in the army, marines or National Guard?

Tell us, Boaz.

#9 | Posted by Doc_Sarvis

Oh oh! I know this one!

He did NOTHING.

He refused to send in the National Guard or any military sources. Delayed for hours. And they had to re-tape his call for peace multiple times because he wouldn't come out and call for peace but kept getting sidetracked and ended up encouraging the violence!

" It really was Pelosi's job."

No, it really wasn't.

Pelosi's position was ceremonial, as was Mitch McConnell's. Anyone blaming Pelosi, without equally blaming McConnell, is either woefully ignorant of the facts, or gaslighting.

I believe nothing Trumpy or you maga maroons say without ironclad proof. Yes there was plenty of chaos and confusion that day. As Trumpy intended. Evil flourishes in chaos.

But you cannot have it both ways you farging hypocritical liars.

It was either legitimate political discourse by a bunch of peaceful tourists or it was a dangerous violent insurrection that should have been squashed by the Marines.

No, just another example of you being an abysmally stupid f*&^.

They went for humanitarian assistance and to help move them to somewhere that could house them.

They didn't show up in riot gear and start tossing flash bangs, tear gas canisters and shooting rubber bullets.

Your thinking is so shallow you can't even qualify it as scratching the surface, dumbs*&^.

" It really was Pelosi's job."

No, it really wasn't.

Unless you're claiming it was McConnell's job as well.

Both were in ceremonial roles, where the head of security "reported" to them. Neither Congressional leader was responsible, or involved, in day-to-day operations.

Claiming Pelosi had responsibility, without admitting McConnell had equal responsibility, is a dereliction.

Are you unaware of this truth, or are you trying to gaslight us?
