"New Yorkers for a Better Future Mayor 25" is launching a campaign against Zohran Mamdani, amassing at least $20 million in their war chest. Some of New York's wealthiest financiers are scrambling to build out a network of outside groups that plan to go to war against the Democratic nominee as a last stand against the surging progressive candidate. Those considering funding, or raising money, include Pershing Square CEO Bill Ackman and Rudy Giuliani. "How do we stop this guy?" asked Bo Dietl, who's planning on raising $10 million with Giuliani through a separate group. "No one's dealing with him. In the polls, he's getting so much attention, and none of these other candidates are stepping up."

AIPAC Democrats, Wall Street, and the GOP are desperate to stop Zohran Mandani from becoming NYC Mayor. As a national avatar, Mamdani leading the Battle for the Big Apple' will be the first skirmish against Dummkopf Trumpf, preceding the 2026 mid-term elections by one full year. If Mamdani wins, lucrative contracts, political appointments, and academic positions at CUNY will finally be given to outsiders. Mamdani will also gain a national and international stage with an opportunity to meet world leaders during the annual UNGA. Mamdani's progressive platform can easily be funded by increased taxes on Wall Street and the banking/financial sector. The wealthy status quo and the oligarchs always oppose increased taxes on their pelf and this is the same in this case with Zohran Mamdani's platform to help the less fortunate people residing and working in NYC.

Bo Dietl, Bill Ackman, and Rudy Giuliani?
There's a lot I really have enjoyed over the years visiting NYC.
But it's a big place and with the good comes the wretched.
Like this trio of self-inflating bores.

As a person in the NYC media area (I live in SW CT), my cable company provides the NYC TV channels in HD, and the CT TV channels (those it chooses to provide) in SD.

So, when I watch linear TV, because I choose to watch HD not SD, I am subject to the election ads for NYC.

Do I sense a desperation in those ads against candidate Mamdani? Absolutely. They already seem as fierce as the ones I would expect to watch more in the August/September time frame.

It is going to be a loooonnngggg summer ...

#3: I have gotten lost many times in your neighborhood, Lamplighter. I'm glad your state is fixing the signs, which may help. I don't watch TV, but I could imagine the desperate rhetoric on the ads to knock poor Zohran out of the race. Remember, he's one of them.

#4: Ghouliani's presence in the campaign will boost Zohran. I hope he hovers around NYC like the flea-infested vampire bat that he is.

Both parties are being forced by their owners to fight Mamdani.

Yet people still won't wake up to the fact both parties are owned by the same billionaires.

Reagan, BushSr, Clinton, BushJr, Obama, Biden. They all said different things, but it was the same policies regardless who the president was.

Trump and the far right fascists aren't them, which some people seem drawn to. But at the same time. Rightwing authoritarian nationalism has always led to the collapse of the empire.

Democracy as we've known in our entire lives, has ended.

We've become just another once great nation.

@#5 ... I have gotten lost many times in your neighborhood, Lamplighter. I'm glad your state is fixing the signs, which may help. ...

That may help, but, imo, probably not enough. :)

SW CT had the history of creating roads by paving over the old cow and other farm animal paths used by the early colonial farmers here.

As a result, the roads tend to do things like go around trees, instead of cutting them down and paving a straight road, as is currently done. That winding makes it tough to keep one's bearing. GPS helps, though, nowadays.

For me, I prefer the winding country roads. ;)
