Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Palestinian resistance factions have jointly condemned the leader of an Israel-backed armed gang in Gaza, accusing him of collaboration with the enemy. Yasser Abu Shabab (35) has been described as a "traitor for hire." This criminal gang operates under the protection and supervision of the IDF and have been looting humanitarian food convoys. The IDF recently intervened on behalf the Abu Shabab Militia with a drone strike. Hamas has neutralized at least 50 members of this Israeli-armed gang of cutthroat quislings.

"On the advice of security officials, we activated clans in Gaza that oppose Hamas," Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu recently admitted. "What's wrong with this? This is only good and saves the lives of IDF soldiers."
  • This is a similar "divide and conquer" tactic used by the former apartheid government of Suid-Afrika. The National Party covertly armed and directed the predominantly Zulu Inkatha Freedom Party to attack the predominantly Xhosa African National Congress (ANC) led by Nelson Mandela, taking advantage of their historic tribal rivalry. This kept the anti-apartheid bloc fractured for years.
  • An international arrest warrant issued by the ICC for crimes against humanity remains active for Benjamin Netanyahu. An indictment is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The death toll in the Gaza Strip has reached 58,479, the majority of whom were women and children. At least 139,355 others have also been wounded or maimed. Since Israel broke its ceasefire agreement after the GOP budget was passed in March 2025 thanks to US Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), at least 7,656 civilians have been killed and 27,314 others have been injured. During the past 24 hours alone, 93 bodies, including three that were recovered from under rubble, and 278 injured individuals were brought to hospitals in Gaza.

The IDF will easily kill 60,000 Palestinians this summer. Since 7 Oct 2023, the American taxpayer has sent a record $17.9 billion of military aid to Israel. Antiwar progressives will not vote for AIPAC-backed Democratic Party candidates in future elections and their consciences will be clear.

    Israeli support for Hamas

The Israeli support for Hamas refers to direct involvement by Israeli authorities from different periods in the rise and empowerment of Palestinian militant group Hamas.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

During the 1970s, Israel began providing support to Ahmed Yassin, a Muslim Brotherhood leader in the Gaza Strip, who controlled a network of Islamic schools, mosques, and clubs, in order to weaken the secular nationalist Palestine Liberation Organization.[2] It continued to encourage the expansion of Yassin's network during the first year and a half of the First Intifada, as the network re-organised into Hamas. Support lasted until 1989, when Hamas launched its first attacks on Israelis, leading to a significant crackdown against the organisation.[7] Multiple Israeli officials have acknowledged Israel's role in strengthening Yassin's network.

#2: Hi Snoofy: Thanks for that. One sidenote: The PLO and Yasir Arafat long suspected that Abu Nidal was a hired Mossad asset conducting spectacular global terrorist attacks to make the Palestinian liberation cause look bad in the eyes of the world: www.independent.co.uk

I'm awful glad our taxpayer dollars are hard at work subsidizing another country's national security and universal healthcare system.

There are still Palestinians alive in Gaza?

Man! They're harder to kill than cockroaches.

Speaking of cockroaches, I hear they're considered a delicacy by the starving population sill living in that prison.

May the souls of the innocent torment those who cheer on this slaughter.

This is the same despicable bloc that will be supporting thoroughly disgraced Andrew Cuomo for Mayor of NYC against Zohran Mamdani simply because he is a Muslim. AIPAC and Israel do not want to lose even a millimeter of influence, resources, or geography in the US to an Arab or a Muslim.

    How did we get Hamas?

Bush put them on the ballot.

    Netanyahu supported them.

He didn't want them on the ballot.

Irrelevant, GWB put Hamas on the ballot in Gaza.

Without that Hamas wouldn't be where it is, no matter how big Hamas got with Israel support.

History doesn't start when you choose to start paying attention.

Netanyahu supported Hamas. He's the reason they exist at all.

"He didn't want them on the ballot."

Why would it matter? It's not like Israel recognizes Palestine's right to exist.

    Netanyahu supported them.

He needs them as a boogeyman to keep the voters afraid so they keep electing him.

Just like the GOP needs immigrants to keep the voters afraid.

Oh good! Hamas Palestinians, the people who hunted down, raped, and murder 1,200 Israeli civilian men, women, and children in cold blood, are standing up against the "cutthroats."

"In his interview with Ynet, Abu Shabab stressed that the Popular Forces were not a "militia" but rather an "anti-terror group in the Gaza Strip.""

The pretzels Pro-Hamasers twist themselves into when standing up for Palestinian ISIS, to pretend that they are not supporting some of the worst humans to ever walk the earth. Quite amusing!

In his interview with Ynet, Abu Shabab stressed that the Popular Forces were not a "militia" but rather an "anti-terror group in the Gaza Strip."

"What didn't Hamas say about me... A criminal, a thief, an ISIS member, all to scare people away from me, but it didn't work. Does someone who kidnaps and kills children like the Bibas family even have the legitimacy to define or judge others? These are vile, miserable subhumans whose end is near," he said.

For the pro-Hamasers who have made it a point to avoid acknowledging the Palestinians' October 7th atrocities:
Kidnapping and killing of the Bibas family
The Bibas family was abducted from their home in Israel by Palestinian militants in October 2023, during the Gaza war. Shiri Bibas and her two sons were killed in November 2023
