A federal appeals court on Thursday halted a lower court ruling that required Florida and the Trump administration to dismantle parts of "Alligator Alcatraz," a controversial immigration detention site in the Everglades.
An immigration detention center in Florida known as Alligator Alcatraz can remain open and the government can resume sending detainees there, after a federal appeals court ruled on Thursday against a lower court's decision effectively shutting down the facility.
